March 22, 201312 yr It's actually not that exciting for me this year, none of the major acts I like are doing anything (apart from David Bowie, who I haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting). I will go along and support anyway, most of the new bands I like have something (apart from Hurts :()
March 22, 201312 yr It's very sad that my local record shop, One-Up, didn't survive to see this year's Record Shop Day. Hopefully I can pick up some of the slightly smaller releases online. Got a brilliant Domino Records flexi-disc mag, a Pains of Being Pure at Heart remix 12" and the Snowgoose LP last year. Those interesting me this year are: Calexico, Grizzly Bear, John Foxx, King Creosote, Mark Lanegan & Duke Garwood, Mogwai / Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat (definitely this!), Ringo Deathstarr, The Beta Band, The Twilight Sad / Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat (not quite as desperate for this one as the Mogwai one!), The Wedding Present - oh, and just noticed Pulp too!
