Voted, highly disappointed with the semi though!

Semi 2 is genuinely ATROCIOUS, only 3 songs worthy of big points are all ones I know and love already. There's 5/6 other decent ones, but out of 26 songs that's a dismal hitrate.

My top 3 are brilliant but the remainder of semi one isn't making much of an impression on me. The general theme seems to be I'm giving big points to countries that I don't normally vote for (not you Bre!).

I've never listened to a semi thrice and not whittled it down substantially! This is tough, they're all quite similar. There is no stand out track though!

Do most of you listen to it just the one time? I go through it like 6-7 times throughout the week and vote like an hour before the deadline :L

on the upside i am ACTUALLY VOTING FOR BELLAMIA. the impossible has happened.

In the last contest I did 3 playthroughs, probably do the same this month.

After one listen through, I really have no idea for an order here, I think I'm actually gonna be giving points to songs that I'd only rate about 5 or 6/10...I liked some of them, but nothing's really standing out :/

wish I had the time to play them all lots, but I have to treat them like eurovision and rate them based on one hearing:(

 

That's tough on the growers, but thats also true of eurovision, I buy the CD and often end up loving ones I'd rated lower on the day. There are still 2 from the last BJSC in my Top 20, so that's pretty good:)

After a quick skim through Semi 1, and...it's of a poor quality. I sincerely hope a lot of gems qualify from Semi 2 to make up for it because after two consecutive amazing contests quality wise, this one really is a let down.

Semi 1 is one of the weakest semis in the past few years but Semi 2 is one of the best, almost seems a shame that there'll be 14 qualifiers from each when it should be more like 20 from Semi 2 and 8 from Semi 1 imo :lol:

The problem with Semi 1 is a lot of songs sound like album tracks and are fillers at most or tracks which just blend into one.

Well, at least you watch Semis as well. So many people dismiss them (these people are super dumb ain't nobody got time for dat). :(
