April 21, 201312 yr Hi Rich! Back to a top twenty I see :o Quite liking 'Platinum Chains', I do enjoy a good instrumental! Disappointed not to see Alice here but I'm expecting to DNQ so you live and learn I guess. Good to see the new Daft Punk song here, although I much prefer the new Basement Jaxx myself, and wish that was enjoying the hype...! Eurovision in less than a month! I haven't even listened to all the songs yep, oops. I know you're going, though - will you be at Scandipop's club night on the Friday? I'm going! (And therefore you should too ofc)
April 21, 201312 yr Singles 1. Rivaz - Colors (2) (CR-2-1) - I first heard this yesterday and I really like it, wonder if it will pick up a UK release? 3. Passenger - Let Her Go (7) (CR-50-29-13-10-12-13-8-1-1-2-7-3) - LOVE this, one of my favs this year and I am so pleased this FINALLY looks like being a hit here. Hopefully it will be a #1 contender by late May (fingers crossed anyway) 4. Cascada - Glorious (3) (CR-7-5-11-20-19-2-2-5-8-14-13-7-6-3-4) - Shame this probably won't win but I love it, think its my fav from this year as well. 6. Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love (10) (CR-25-4-2-3-7-14-19-18-18-14-10-10-6) 8. Zlata Ognevich - Gravity (6) (CR-33-22-29-35-37-16-8-4-3-6-8) 10. Pitbull feat Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment (14) (CR-30-OUT-58-55-52-57-46-41-22-18-18-14-10) 11. Bonnie Tyler - Believe In Me (12) (CR-9-6-5-8-14-12-11) 12. Daft Punk feat Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky (NEW) (CR-12) - Really clicks with you after a few listens, I'm getting a little bit obsessed with it 13. Little Mix feat Missy Elliott - How Ya Doin' (20) (CR-38-OUT-61-48-40-33-29-20-13) 15. The Saturdays feat Sean Paul - What About Us (8) (CR-50-47-48-OUT-42-38-34-32-24-23-38-47-OUT-72-44-31-7-2-4-8-15) Longest Runner 16. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (19) (CR-75-75-OUT-74-OUT-63-31-19-16) - I originally preferred this to Radioactive for some reason I'm now going back the other way, will have to check out their album, any good? 17. Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me (32) (CR-61-46-32-17) - Future UK #1?, certainly looking likely 19. Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (25) (CR-8-11-15-21-30-41-45-52-44-41-35-25-19) - I do like this but I don't think its a certain win at all. 20. Robin Thicke feat T.I. & Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines (Re-entry) (CR-39-OUT-20) Playlist I won't comment on everything in your playlist section but; Calvin Harris feat Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love - Really liking this, think this may end up being my fav from this era Icona Pop feat Charli XCX - I Love It - I saw on your blog you're expecting this to be big as well. I have got everything crossed for this, especially I think this could easily go top 3 at least. I am still sadly concerned that Radio 1 will ignore it despite its success in the US. Hopefully it can repeak for you too nearer the time. Edited April 21, 201312 yr by simonf

April 21, 201312 yr Hi Rich, haven't been here for a while so comments: 2. Michael Woods - Platinum Chains (1) (CR-29-1-1-2) - I'm quite surprised how much I'm enjoying this, it's a fantastic instrumental - and I really get the platinum chain sound (whatever that sounded good in my head). Good luck in the final. 3. Passenger - Let Her Go (7) (CR-50-29-13-10-12-13-8-1-1-2-7-3) - Trying to get over his James Blunt-like voice, but a good song! 10. Pitbull feat Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment (14) (CR-30-OUT-58-55-52-57-46-41-22-18-18-14-10) - Kinda AGOG at how much I like this, it's the a-ha sample doing it for me. (and that Pitbull does very little compared to normal, or at least it feels that way) Caro Emerald - Tangled Up - I need to hear this soonish. I'm really playing Deleted Scenes... a lot recently (I hope this is up to standard) San Fermin - Sonsick - I was SO pleased to see this in your chart earlier and I really thought I was onto something with this. I'm still absolutely loving it, so the DNQ really came out of the blue. Not that I want to put my ranting on you, I planned to comment on this earlier, but at least you and a few other people liked it. The chorus gets me everytime. :(

Thanks Daniel, I just don't have the time to make a full chart at the moment but still want to show people what I'm loving, hence the playlist! I did like your entry (not quite enough to make my playlist) and it's a shame it DNQ'd. Hi Rich! I'm going! (And therefore you should too ofc) Hey David. Yep it is for now, I've had so little time recently that even a top 50 was too time consuming! Glad to see people taking to Platinum Chains, I wasn't certain that it wouldn't DNQ  Well done on you for making the final, I do like the track, maybe it will be a surprise dark horse? At least you got 7 points from me last month :P Yes, I'm loving Get Lucky more and more with each listen! The Basement Jaxx song is good, sort of as zany and quite similar to Let's Have A Kiki, so I can see why you're a fan! Yes I can't wait :D I am going to be there although probably not at Scandipop's club night sadly because I'll only be in Malmo on Thursday and Saturday and will likely stay in Copenhagen on the Friday (as that's where I'm staying). Are you staying in Malmo or Copenhagen?
April 23, 201312 yr Author Singles 1. Thanks Simon :D Colors and Platinum Chains are both amazing and deserve to be huge UK hits, whether either of them will see the light of day here, in their instrumental form or with vocals on top remains to be seen! I'm sure Let Her Go can be a #1, or at least a very high selling top 3 hit, it's a fantastic song :D Glorious is possibly my favourite this year too although it's not exactly a vintage year, I reckon it might come low top ten in Malmo. Agree with you about Get Lucky, so effortlessly cool. Yeah the album is really good, full of anthems - I like Radioactive and It's Time both about the same amount probably. I can definitely see So Good To Me being a UK #1, it's the year of dance chart toppers! I think Only Teardrops might only win by default of it being a year without a clear victor. If it does win then I don't see it becoming much of a UK hit a la Euphoria, maybe top 20/30 at best. I still think I Love It will be big here and that Radio 1 will support it, eventually! That run for I Feed You My Love *.* No Dido? :smoke: It's quite something isn't it! She almost made the playlist but was tragically cut, bad times! Hey Rich :D heres what I like ^_^ Where are Texas this week  4. Cascada - Glorious (3) (CR-7-5-11-20-19-2-2-5-8-14-13-7-6-3-4) 6. Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love (10) (CR-25-4-2-3-7-14-19-18-18-14-10-10-6) 10. Pitbull feat Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment (14) (CR-30-OUT-58-55-52-57-46-41-22-18-18-14-10) 12. Daft Punk feat Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky (NEW) (CR-12) 13. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (19) (CR-75-75-OUT-74-OUT-63-31-19-16) Thanks Simon, Texas are on the playlist but I'm not sure that I like it enough for it to go top 20. It's not a classic of theirs... Hi Rich, haven't been here for a while so comments: 2. :( Cheers Eyes! Glad to see you liking Platinum Chains, seems to be getting some good feedback, I was worried that people would hate it but I'm so in love with it and just wanted to send it regardless of the result! Haha, Let Her Go is VERY James Blunt but then I used to love his music too, for shame! I know what you mean about Feel This Moment, it's so shit but amazing! Caro's new material is brilliant, shaping up to be another fantastic album from her. Still gutted at Sonsick's DNQ, wrong semi alert, gah! Hi Rich A top 20 this week I know and like: 1. Rivaz - Colors (2) (CR-2-1) 2. Michael Woods - Platinum Chains (1) (CR-29-1-1-2) 3. Passenger - Let Her Go (7) (CR-50-29-13-10-12-13-8-1-1-2-7-3) Shame they missed out on UK top 40 last week. Well, they still have a chance this week. 4. Cascada - Glorious (3) (CR-7-5-11-20-19-2-2-5-8-14-13-7-6-3-4) 7. Janet Leon - Heartstrings (5) (CR-16-1-2-4-4-4-3-5-5-7) 8. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (19) (CR-75-75-OUT-74-OUT-63-31-19-16) 17. Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me (32) (CR-61-46-32-17) Nice chart! Thanks Jason :D Passenger will definitely be a huge smash anyway so no worries about it missing the top 40 this week. Yes I agree about Get Lucky, such a great song/comeback! 1. Rivaz - Colors (2) (CR-2-1) Haven't heard this yet but I trust it's brilliant if it's here 2. Michael Woods - Platinum Chains (1) (CR-29-1-1-2) 4. Cascada - Glorious (3) (CR-7-5-11-20-19-2-2-5-8-14-13-7-6-3-4) 6. Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love (10) (CR-25-4-2-3-7-14-19-18-18-14-10-10-6) 7. Heartstrings too, you need to hear them both NOW! Liquid Lunch is excellent, roll on the album! Yep Basement Jaxx are back, it's a really random quirky song, very Scissor Sisters!
April 23, 201312 yr Hi Rich :D Not replied in your chart for ages it seems so making the most of this rather quiet Tuesday evening. 1. Rivaz - Colors (2) (CR-2-1) Did listen to this from your chart last week. I really like the melody but yet I felt the song didn't get going as much as I wanted it to. It's difficult to describe it, but the way it builds when everything comes in, it still sounds a bit empty for me. :( 2. Michael Woods - Platinum Chains (1) (CR-29-1-1-2) The Rontvian Club Edit of this is *.* I'm actually really proud of how this edit turned out in the end, it just sounds really slick and even my odd ending even manages to fit in with the song. 3. Passenger - Let Her Go (7) (CR-50-29-13-10-12-13-8-1-1-2-7-3) It's (really) slowly making its way up iTunes so could this go all the way and be one of those ultimate slow burners? To think I had this at #2 in my chart back in January and it's still hovering around the top 30 now. Still a song I enjoy listening to hence why it's not plummeted out yet, could well climb back up my chart again at the rate it's going. 9. Carli - Look Up (NEW) (CR-9) I wonder what a JakeWild hosted BJSC would be like? It seems from the posts I've read that this is being predicted to do big things in the final. As hosts, I know how well it's doing so far but once all the votes are in will Carli landslice the victory? :o 12. Daft Punk feat Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky (NEW) (CR-12) Although granted it took 4 previews and a YouTube clip before I decided to buy the song. Such an infectious song, I never thought Daft Punk would venture down the 70s disco route but it's such a tasty track, just really like it. If this is a taster of what to expect from the album, then Daft Punk could have one of the biggest selling albums of the year. 13. Little Mix feat Missy Elliott - How Ya Doin' (20) (CR-38-OUT-61-48-40-33-29-20-13) I don't have the album but when I saw they were releasing 'How Ya Doin', I was put off the song title instantly and thought "oh that song title is so tacky, is this going to even be a good song?". Then I saw the music video and I was won over. Had no idea it was based around De La Soul's 'Ring Ring Ring' which was a track I really liked as a kid. :D Also 'Change Your Life' is making waves in Australia - was up to #8 in their chart. :o 'Wings' is also top 100 in America so the girls have definitely got a bright future (I had a feeling they were destined for big things as soon as I heard 'Wings' for the first time). 16. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (19) (CR-75-75-OUT-74-OUT-63-31-19-16) I prefer 'Radioactive' but I honestly thought this would become their biggest hit. Yet it looks like 'Radioactive' is going to be their biggest hit here too (it's already been massive in Sweden, Norway etc...) and 'On Top Of The World' is now top 20 in my chart. 17. Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me (32) (CR-61-46-32-17) This is definitely looking set to be a UK #1 in a couple of weeks but considering how much impact dance music is having at the moment, I find this track slightly disappointing. I do like it, quite a bit to be honest, but like with the Rivaz track I feel the song could be so much more than what it is. I guess I'm not a great lover of almost minimulist dance music. 20. Robin Thicke feat T.I. & Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines (Re-entry) (CR-39-OUT-20) The surprise hit of 2013? Every year has one and the way this has taken off in several countries has amazed me. I'm not sure what I think of this - I'm firmly on the fence atm with 'Blurred Lines' but I don't dislike the track, it's more a case of how much do I actually like this. Safe to say as far as Pharrell is concerned, 'Get Lucky' is easily the better song of the two imo.

Thanks Hits :D 1. Aww, I love Colors, even if it sounds a little too much like Gouryella's Gouryella! Hopefully it can get a UK release although I'm sure it could only be a hit here with some random vocal on top. I would like to hear an extended mix of this song though, to let it build a little longer. 2. It's great, and the edit has far overtaken the original on my play counts! Interestingly the version on the Cream compilation comes in at exactly the same point as your edit does but doesn't obviously end the same way! Either way I'm so glad that this made the final and god knows now how it will do but I'm glad I finally sent a proper instrumental to BJSC, as Flares had those strange squeaky vocals on it! 3. Let Her Go is a lovely song and will be high up my end of year chart I'm sure! I expect it will be a UK #1 eventually or a high selling top 3 hit if some random held back one weekers keep it off the top! 9. I'd be incredibly shocked if this didn't storm to victory, it's a fantastic 90s-esque dance song in the same mould as Mainline, but even more so. The vocals on it remind me of Ride On Time or Hold That Sucker Down (remember that, what a classic ). 12. I'm elated to see Daft Punk back and about to finally get their UK #1 after nearly 20 years in the charts, they had a #1 for me in 2001 with the sublime Digital Love  and Discovery is one of the finest dance albums ever imo, shame Aerodynamic was never released properly here (although I got the import single from HMV). Get Lucky is fantastic. 13. They're a really good girlband, I've liked all of the singles to varying degrees, DNA was my least favourite even though everyone else seems to adore it. I find Change Your Life really melodic and Wings was a fantastic debut. How Ya Doin' is a great 90s throwback, I loved it on the album (hence the previous top 40 entry) and I'm loving it as an unexpected single choice! 16. It's bizarre to see all of their singles out and about and taking off at different times. Shame Radioactive has been such a big sleeper hit and finally blown up, but apparently not quite enough to go top ten because UK radio refuse to play it!?! Strange  17. It is very subtle and with that in mind it's surprising that it has the hype around it to almost certainly go to #1 in the UK. But I like that about it, the fact that it's not so 'in your face' is charming. I wouldn't call the Rivaz song minimalist though, that's very much in your face with that trance riff  20. It's that one hit of the year that is a bit of a surprise indeed (Robin's never had a hit here, the other two haven't been relevant for years although Pharrell could get two #1's in the space of a few weeks now) but I absolutely love this and it will only climb for me, it sort of reminds me of Madonna's Give It 2 Me production wise, I think Pharrell's been doing some recycling there! But with the aura of Justin Timberlake and classic Prince, I'm becoming strangely addicted to it! Hiya:) ive avoided hearing the eurovision entries so far (except Bonnie) so they are missing from mine till the semis when I hear them fresh, but there are loads in your playlist that I love, cheers! john There are lots of great entries this year although nothing as great as Euphoria! Thanks John!
April 23, 201312 yr Hey David. I think you're set for a top half finish at least - instrumentals are risky but you've done a great edit! I hope it does reasonably, I have a (hopefully) more punchy entry next month, already excited! Me too! It really clicked yesterday, now this week's JAM, sounds so good in the sunshine! Staying in Copenhagen and we were planning to go out there on Friday and do Saturday in Malmo (ofc), but the club night looks too good to resist (I've heard there are some rather exciting guests...!) so we'll have to make the most of Copenhagen on the Friday daytime.

Well I can't take the credit for that, Hitstastic kindly did the edit for me! I just knew that the 6 minute full length song wasn't quite the right context for BJSC. Glad it's getting some decent predictions, I'm intrigued to see how it will fare! I had it on at work when the store was closed and it hit me how COOL it is, it's just great  I'll be there from Wednesday late afternoon (in Copenhagen), will be in Malmo on Thursday for Semi 2 and Sat for the final. I just hope the transport between Malmo and Copenhagen is cheap and frequent, I don't want to spend half of my spending money on train fare :drama: If someone like Agnes were to turn up I may reconsider of course!
