I heard this for the first time today and it really does highlight how much the frontman's voice is an ACQUIRED TASTE.

None of the promoted songs from the album are as good as Chocolate, although Sex was decent and Settle Down is a great summer song

The boxset is so overpriced! £110 for their first 4 EPs. You can already get 2 of those EPs for £28 at banquet records. £82 for 2 EPs and a box, I think not.

As much as I love some of their material its just too overpriced.

Ouch that's a ridiculous price. I understand the collectable nature of their EPs but that's just mad, how is it justifiable?

Not sure if this is the right place but this week The 1975 have really put their foot in it with Matty Healy's kiss with the bassist Ross MacDonald in apparent protest against Malaysia's strict anti gay laws.

Although, on the surface, admirable, without checking what the implications might be (the whole festival that the 1975 was cancelled and fear that the government could use it to crackdown on LGBT rights) it came across as rash and could cause danger.

…and a lawsuit for over $2 million

I’m no legal expert, but from what I’ve seen people suggesting, it’s unlikely that the UK courts (which they’re pursuing them in next) will make them pay it.

Oh me neither - It's ludicrous to blame them for the cancellation of the whole festival weekend.

I find the whole thing so confusing to know what is right or wrong - I agree in principal with what the 1975 said and did but I've also seen the counter arguments like the one Smint posted above - I mean, what should people do? It's a really difficult situation, do you sit back and do nothing or do you try to use your influence for the things you believe to be for the better?

I was expecting it to be a physical-only thing, but it’s been confirmed that the Gorilla live recordings will be up on streaming services tomorrow!
Damn the new tour date for Manchester is naff, I hope they add Saturday the 17th.

There’s quite a few gaps, so I expect at least a couple more will be added.
