It seems a lot of people aren't able to enter the Ronan official site, neither the forum !

I know his last single flopped badly, but this doesn't seem a wise move ! :o

According to the Irish paper today Ronan's cover of "Iris" sold a shocking "91" copies in Ireland only reaching #37 in Ireland :o :o :lol: :lol:

Probably the first decent song he's done in a long time. It's a shame this will never be a hit here, he's done so many dire covers and when he does a decent one, it flops :(

The original of any song is always the better, unless you're super good. But Ronan's version of this song is darn good as well. The web site hasn't gone down due to anything else other than those that supply the site have been having difficulties all round. There has been a huge discussion on the web site & the majority have agreed that he should release something original, but you don't know what hold the record company have on what say he has. Ro also ggot the go ahead & recognition from Johnny Reznik ( who's name I didn't know until Ro released this) gave permission for him to do.

I think it's also great his album has gone up quite a number of places. Ronan is a great singer/songwritter. He just needs the right ppl to support him on this.

Welcome to buzzjack mandie, I prefer the Goo Goo Dolls version, like you say though his album has gone up so I doubt he'll be too disappointed, I think he should release something new next though.

I'm glad some don't want Louise, I mean louis, to come out on top. Ronan really has a talent for songwritting tho, which hasn't been given the full support he's needed. He's shown he can write/co-write brill songs. Not everyone will like them, but not everyone has the same taste.

also westlife are talented but with ronan behind them they just can't promote their own songs

 

 

Ro aint there anymore tho. I'm sure their career has lasted longer without Ro than with. He was a mentor when needed but left when needed. They wouldn't have been as successful without Ronan/Boyzone & the trend at the time they were discovered. This thread is about Ronan tho.
