so why did they withdraw it? was it not to clash with the new disc? or because it was just another old compilaiton repackeged?

That sucks. Now was the time while his performance was still fresh in people's minds and they remembered they really liked him.

 

Hope there's a good reason and not just a record company mucking about with release dates.
