Would appear that SAD is the second single from TAODN - the TT twitter account just posted a link to the new music video

I am happy he is at the least going with a second single, not my first choice but it is a single nonetheless.

S.A.D is is not my first choice for a single either even though I do like the song. It took quite a few listenings for me to really like it and now I think it's a beautiful song.

The sales figures you have reported for TAODN a few pages back in this thread, are those figures for the UK only or is it the total sales worldwide? It is disappointing that the album did not do better because it is a very good album. I know that Mark's music is not for everyone and I had not expected it to be a huge success but I think it deserved much better than this. Also, most of the reviews I've read have been good or decent, for instance it got a 4-star review in Q Magazine, so it's a pity that not more people have given it a chance.

It's a good album, no doubt about it. I just think the price of £10.99 might have dissuaded people on the fence which I imagine would have been the majority of TT fans - either way it's still his highest charging solo album so that's a positive!

Sales wise there aren't many sales at all worldwide, i'd say 98% of sales are from the UK with maybe green man being the exception but even that didnt sell well compared to Robbie and Gary's debut albums

Those sales are mainly UK related but green man would have picked up a few sales outside the UK but unfortunately not enough to impress.

Hm yes, maybe that's the case. In my country it's not much interest, but I was thinking of Germany and maybe Italy, which seems to have quite a few devoted Mark fans.

Green Man only just made the top 50 in Germany, his second album failed to chart there as did TAODN. How the mighty fall made #56 and dropped out the week after

In Italy Green Man peaked at #15 but no solo work has charted there since.

It's obvious that a majority of the TT fans, or people in general who are buying TT albums, are not interested in Mark's solo work. Which in a way is a little funny because since TT came back you could hear Mark's influences in many of their songs. I'm not sure a cut in price for TAODN would have hepled. It seems that for many people TT = Gary and there are so many ignorant comments (not from TT fans) saying that Mark is not contributing to anything and is just getting a free ride in TT. It seems extremely difficult for him to attract buyers from outside the sphere of TT fans. And it probably doesn't help either that Mark is useless in selling himself. When doing promo work for TAODN and Stars he just talked about chocolate or his kids  He could really do with some lessons about PR from Gary and Robbie ;)

BTW, Where could one find all those stats?
