The finale was good stuff although it is frustrating that we have to wait for some real conclusion to the Paul Spector story.

Some things are worth waiting for.

Good series, but I've seen better stuff this year. The amount of characters with so little screen time, but with some relevance to the plot is confusing to keep track of. The whole subplot with the assassination just looked out of place. The Paul Spector subplot with him being tormented by the friends of the guy who lost his son made no sense either. I'd assume its a plot device but it doesn't do much or have much relevance really. Few little grips with the programme, but not sure whether ill check out series 2.

I think some ends will tie together (re the assassination sub-plot and the main story). The first victirm (the one that Stella was originally called in to investigate) is the daughter (or daughter in law) of one of the guys implicated or named in the Olsen affair. With regard to the friends of the thug who are tormenting Spector - I don't think it matters that this isn't directly involved with the murders themselves. There are things that come at people from all directions in life - they don't have to be related.

I'm sticking with this because it just got better with each episode. Hope series 2 is as good.

Well this was just a little bit brilliant. I agree with some of Rooney's comments, especially about the whole Olsen thing which really made very little sense to me at all. I can understand the Aaron Monroe thing with his ex-wife being the first victim but the whole mobster or whatever thing just felt like one little bit of subplot too much. I did pick up on one other niggle. The drawing of the baby that his daughter did was OBV a computer drawing (though they never specifically mentioned it, anyone with eyes could see) and yet they were able to pick up an indentation from the page below ie. his letter.

Gillian was INCREDIBLE. I f***ing love her voice so much, that phone call in the finale was all kinds of incredible. As was her 'man f***s a woman, woman f***s a man' bit in episode 3.
