Angie Miller finished in 3rd place on this year's season of American Idol and has now released the original song she performed at an early stage of the competition called 'You Set Me Free'. It is a fantastic piano ballad that builds throughout the song and I'm so happy it has been released! The judges frequently commented throughout the competition how good this song was!

Unfortunately it seems that American Idol are preventing this from charting on US iTunes as the number of reviews and ratings suggest she would be doing very well and probably higher than the two finalists' winner's songs! Angie was my favourite so I really hope she goes on to have a lot of success!

Listen to the studio version here:

And here is her live performance from American Idol:

Also after Angie performed with Jessie J on last night's American Idol finale (being shown now in the UK), Jessie invited Angie to the UK to sing 'You Set Me Free' with her at one of Jessie's shows! :D
I've been all over this today. Annoyed about the non-charting drama, hope it's sorted out soon.

Love this song, and I'm so glad we got a full version of it finally. It doesn't disappoint. It is certainly better than the singles given to Kree and Candice (even though Candice is my outright favourite singer by a country mile).

Such a shame it has been prevented from charting. I can't understand why she has allowed this to happen though. It's her song. She wrote it before going on Idol, so why have they seemingly laid some sort of claim over it. It's very unfair, as she'd be doing extremely well on iTunes with it.

On her twitter she has said that she has no idea why it isn't showing up on the iTunes chart and she hopes it is getting sorted.
She was by far the best this year and her song is amazing, it deserves all the success possible!

when I first heard her sing this song at Hollywood I wanted her to win, its a shame she didn't sing it in the finale of Idol last night really

absolutely great song and I'm so annoyed at it being unable to chart, Angie retweeted a photo on twitter showing her song had over 1,000 ratings, Candice had just over 300, Kree had over 100, she'd be easily in the top 10 and maybe even number 1, hope it charts before it starts to fall

also a shame that we can't buy it in the UK yet!

fantastic song though and she will have a great career!!
