Travelling Like The Light was decent (for the most part) and this is sounding goood from that performance and this preview.

Released 14th July with an album coming later in the year.

I'm literally resisting posting that video of VV Brown going on about development right now.

Literally.

Song's OK but I far prefer the sound of 'The Apple' which was premiered in some random self-indulgent interview thing she did a while back. Really happy she's going in a more electronic direction, it suits her. Kinda sad Lollipops & Politics never came to fruition but the name alone kinda hinted that that was an ill-fated adventure.

I went to the showcase she done for her new album and I really like the new stuff. It's so different for her although I wasn't fond of the remix she done for Shark In The Water. But she gave us free vodka so I can't fault her.
What the hell did I just watch? What are you doing V V...
At first I was like what? But then when I got used to the shock of this being VV I thought it was a great song. I will miss the fun songs like 'Game Over' but it's always good for artists to experiment and maybe this may get her more attention.
I really don't know what to think about that. I mean, the new direction is certainly preferable to 'Children' but the video feels very much like VV trying to be something that she really isn't. It's hard to reconcile the woman who made 'Crying Blood' with the woman behind that song / video combination and I don't know, it very much feels like VV is throwing everything at the Pitchfork wall and seeing what sticks. Not that I'll complain if the music is good but I'm not convinced by VV 2.0.
