August 23, 200618 yr There are 2 GH collections and they are double ! 1986-1998: The Singles 1981-1985: Singles I don't think this new one is gonna be 1999-2006... so it will be a mix between the first two plus the singles from 99-06... let's call it another cash in ! :o LifeLight

It is gonna be another cash-in, without a doubt. I liked the remixes album because there were some real radical versions of DM songs in there, there was a definitely a reason for it to exist, and you can more-or-less see it as a potted history of the Remix process as a whole as well, how it's evolved over the course of 25 years and how DM were one of the early pioneers of the whole idea of remixing and creating different versions of songs to be played in clubs.... It's easy to forget just what an utterly inspirational band DM actually are in many ways, they were instrumental in creating the modern Dance Music scene as we know it, and they dont get anything like the credit they're due.... But, I definitely question the reason for this 'new' "Best Of..." compilation to exist....
August 23, 200618 yr The reason ? Just he cash in after the success of their lates album... and the reissues, too... it's not just a fanbase thing... a lot of people buy DM and go to see them live... This 18 track collection is quite ridiculous, btw, but that's it ! LifeLight
August 23, 200618 yr I cannot wait for this, Dream On, so glad that has made it! Frankly I always felt that was one of DM's most weak singles, "Exciter" being a rather weak album as well....
