This is  The Night Listener the New Film from Robin Williams. so i'm guessing as its not a cheesy comedy and Robin's in grisly mode, that it might be an alright film?

Williams is at his best as an actor when he's NOT doing comedy.....

well i suppose if we had one of these  and went back in time to the late 1970s (with a big bag of John DeLorean's special super herbal remedies to give to some of the performers once we get there  )...

then we might be able to see Robin Williams in top flight comedy genius mode (along with fellow 'comedy genius' Steve Martin in wild and crazy guy mode?). However as late 1970s stand-up material doesnt really get a showing on tv (well apart from the Pryor stuff when he died) then all we've got to go off is loads of crappy romcoms and kiddiecoms where it would be probably more fun to stick your head in the food mixer.

Hopefully one day he might release a comedy film that its alright to watch, however i doubt it will be the new Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson film Night at the Museum, which he is in next after this one.

Think Good Morning Vietnam has to be his best film so far, as it balances the so-called 'comedy genius' with more serious stuff.

and also has the late Bruno Kirby (who died about 10 days ago) as Lieutenant Steve.
