New single from the very talented Mr Drewett following 'Champagne Lemonade', 'Good Morning' and 'Drunk Dial' from the soon to be released debut album 'Blink' (and by soon I mean end of this year touch wood). The acoustic version's been online for a while now (and a tune it is too) but studio version is coming fairly soon - end of June according to the man himself.

Meanwhile today he's been shooting the video, where he appears to be dressed as an astronaut. Make of that what you will!

Can we even count Good Morning as a single? It was just a freebie from his site.

He did this in his set at Olly Murs' Peterborough show yesterday. Sounded good live! He also did another new song 'Passenger' which he described as being 'a cooler version of Cotton Eye Joe' - his words, not mine. Thankfully it lived up to that description!

So this has been released today to the virtual indifference of everyone except me...in other news I'd say given he's got some big 'announcement' to make next Sunday that we're not getting his album anytime soon and that he's probably gonna move to songwriting full time and that's really sad to see. Especially knowing this time next week his single he's written for One Direction will be at the top of iTunes purely because it's One Direction.

I've had his album sampler from 2010 for God knows how long and still he's struggling to make it on his own even with the pedigree of writing credits he has behind him. I don't see why Radio 1 or 2 won't playlist him TBH, but then again this is coming from somebody who fails to understand the point behind Bastille or Mumford and Sons. He reasons it's because, like Katy Perry when she was starting out, he refuses to be pigeon holed and he has quite old school taste in music. I'm inclined to agree with him really. I'm 24 next month and I can't stand Radio 1 anymore give or take the odd time I tune in to hear a Live Lounge I want to hear.

He's put on a bit of weight since featuring in Pro Green's video.

Excuse me.....

Meh, the Radio 1 playlisting team are morons and they're worse than ever at the moment with how harsh they are and their 'flavours of the month'.

I miss the days when they were more diverse...

Excuse me.....

OK, virtual indifference of everyone but me and Regina...

Do you know what actually, on a different note? Cause I saw him open for Olly Murs at his Peterborough show recently, and when Olly did 'Dear Darlin', Ed was on somebody's shoulders in the crowd when he performed it (one of their mutual mates' mum's died of breast cancer this year and it was played at her funeral) and everyone, Olly included, got a bit teary eyed in that moment. It was a beautiful thing.
