March 24, 200619 yr was tfi friday a music show? i thought it was the smae as ofi sunday, but on a different day and channel Nah TFI Friday was just an exercise in ego-massage for that w/anker Chris Evans.... <_< But he did have some cool bands on it though, but the format was basically a Chat Show....
March 24, 200619 yr Author was tfi friday a music show? i thought it was the smae as ofi sunday, but on a different day and channel I only included it because there was not many music shows on TV in the 90's. :P
March 25, 200619 yr Author Does anyone remember Supersonic back in the 70s ? yes, unfortunately, was than Mike Mansfield's show who used to say "Q and then the bands name?"
March 26, 200619 yr Anyone remember The Roxy? It was an ITV version of TOTP more or less, but only lasted a couple of years I think. As one of TOTP's biggest fans I would be biased to say it is the best, but Later With Jools Holland is excellent too. Can't comment on CD:UK as I never watch it (usually still in bed hungover when it's on......... :puke2: )
March 26, 200619 yr The word was prety cool, i liked it when L7 showed their fannys live on TV, the word was really ****ed up at times
March 26, 200619 yr Anyone remember The Roxy? It was an ITV version of TOTP more or less, but only lasted a couple of years I think. I do actually, it was a rather piss-poor copy of TOTP if we're being honest....  I didnt really mind TOTP in the late-70s and early/mid-80s, when I was younger; as Rob said, it was pretty much the entry-level music show for all of us, but The Tube was just awesome, the perfect show if you wanted to get a little deeper...
April 1, 200619 yr Nah TFI Friday was just an exercise in ego-massage for that w/anker Chris Evans.... <_< But he did have some cool bands on it though, but the format was basically a Chat Show.... so yes the same as ofi sunday but on a different day
April 1, 200619 yr yes, unfortunately, was than Mike Mansfield's show who used to say "Q and then the bands name?" Is that in, say if Oasis was performing, "Cue, Oasis" to line up there performance on screen or was it just "Q and then the bands name?" as a kind of mad catchphrase? Quite bizarre if it was the later
