Several Montenegrin media have reported that RTCG chose its representative for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. They have reported that Sergej Ćetković will fly the Montenegrin flag next year.

 

Ćetković is a 37 year old singer, who was born in Montenegro. He mostly sings ballads and pop songs with traditional influences and is considered to be one of the most popular singers in the Balkan at the moment.

 

Despite Portal Analitika, Portal 24 and CDM, three Montenegrin media, reporting about Ćetković’ participation in Eurovision, RTCG has not yet confirmed or denied the news.

Those initial reports back in June have been confirmed to be correct as a few days ago, Sergej Ćetković was confirmed as the 2014 artist for Montenegro!

Montenegro HAVE to qualify. There is no other option.

 

In all seriousness, this is the first time I think they've given us an entry aimed to make the final. It doesn't sound to dissimilar to the classic Balkan ballad Serbia can do well with (so kind of Zejlko-ish but weaker). Were the other FYRs in this year (or even in its semi as Slovenia and Macedonia are separate) I'd say it would have had a good shot. I don't think they'll make it this time, it's a good direction for them to make it someday and in terms of competitiveness they've stepped it up this year.

 

Less so in *.*ness unfortunately, but it's still rather nice.

I think that it's their best entry so far!!! The song has very nice rhythm and his vocals are beautiful. It must to qualify!!! I noticed that it has a good videoclip too. The cinematography is amazing. I didn't know that Montenegro is so beautiful..
