Truesteppers / Dane Bowers / Victoria Adams Out Of Your Mind -4,000 (could be due to rounding down for the 2013 sales (so it probably hasn't sold anything). 2008: 394k; 2013: 390k)

Thanks for these - now I just have to figure out a way of extracting them into a form my Total Sales spreadsheet can use.

Thank you so much for posting this list up :)

No problem.

Brilliant to see that Heaven, Set You Free and Everytime We Touch are such strong catalogue sellers! I had no idea that Heaven had sold as much as 600k! :o

Slightly off topic but I don't want to start a new thread as I'm not in to watch the whole thing, Heat TV (channel 364 on Sky) are currently showing an up to date 'top 50 of the 21st Century' sales countdown, they just had LMFAO - Sexy & I Know It (910k), Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (920k), Bruno Mars - Grenade (930k) and Lady Gaga - Just Dance (930k) at #46-#43. Again, I had no idea that the former two were on their way to the million, seeing as they peaked at #5/#6! Other surprises - Enrique Iglesias - Hero on 950k!

This is a little OT, but this week's sales thread has already been filed.

http://www.officialcharts.com/features/off...e-to-life-2283/

It does include up-to-date sales for several of the songs mentioned, though - most notably Evanescence's BMTL @ ~615k.

From that, I calculate it has averaged ~1.2k/wk over the 86 weeks since I last had an exact figure.

When the OCC revealed on their Twitter some 2012 sales for various novelty songs at the end of 2012, they said that 'Out of Your Mind' had only sold 3 copies in 2012.

I still find that hard to believe. I reckon for some reason the database isn't adding additional downloads to its running total, and that only extremely minimal physical sales are registering.

It became apparent a few years ago that the database has had these kinds of issues with other singles too - it affected The Show and Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

There's a Top 200 singles of all time thread that you ought to check out, gd. There's loads of surprises in it.

More or less there, now - just have to do some cross-checks, and then should be able to add them to my Sales spreadsheet tomorrow. :)

True, I guess considering 180k copies were bought in its first week (I think...), I doubt it's been totally forgotten. :P

Also Blue by Eiffel 65 only sold a few copies last year (didn't they quote 12 or something) which is completely unrealistic for a million selling former #1 single that still gets played a lot in various places. I'd expect it to sell a few thousand a year at least.

In relation to post 42 above, I copied out the sales in 2008.

The sales for nos. 100 and 6 were 130,000 and 476,000, respectively.

I don't know why Victoria has been named Victoria Adams - she was married when it was released :s

IRO this chart, the best match I can come up with, is to the chart of 8/6/08.

See post 42:

At the time, using sales from Music Week [MW] of current 2008 hits, I calculated that this list represented sales from 1st January 2000 to 31st May 2008 (MW chart week ending 7th June 2008).
