August 22, 200618 yr is it really close then? :o Not quite sure really I haven't seen the sales, but when I have i'll let you know. ;) From the MW Report it says that little is going to change on the album chart with Christina still looking set to retain the #1 by a comfortable margin with Snow Patrol at #2. Looks like a cert to me. :D
August 22, 200618 yr Great to see it may be number 1 for 2 weeks! I would imagine it will go back up to number 1 when Hurt is released too!
August 22, 200618 yr Snow Patrol are number 1 on the iTune album chart - quick everyone rush out and buy another copy of B2B
August 22, 200618 yr Snow Patrol are number 1 on the iTune album chart - quick everyone rush out and buy another copy of B2B  ! I don't know why but that made me laugh, I can imagine myself running down town to get like 10 copies
August 22, 200618 yr I don't know what the sales of both are but this time last week Snow Patrol had sold 10k and Christina 27k so either Snow Patrol have risen a fair bit or Christina has dropped rather a lot!
August 22, 200618 yr Author i think she can hold on, its a big weekend this week, with bank holiday etc... christina's sales have probably dropped as she had ALOT of pre-orders last week!! :D
August 22, 200618 yr That's great! How many more sales to come :o? And I hope Xtina can hold on for another week :D
August 22, 200618 yr Author That's great! How many more sales to come :o? just over 48% of more sales to come, and they include some of the bigger stores, over 350k me thinks!! :yahoo:
August 22, 200618 yr Author final figures are in for the US and they are over 350K+ :yahoo: soundscan will add up sales ad include digital sales so should be over 360K for the VERY final figures!! well done christina, she has outsold all her other albums with 1st week sales!! :cheer:
August 22, 200618 yr Author Amazing! Those PT idiots said she would bomb. well they are still considering the album a FLOP  if it topped every chart in the fooking world it would still be classed as a FLOP, they are delusional and sad!!
August 22, 200618 yr There's a couple of low positions there, any particular reason? No promotion? Pretty tiny country?
August 22, 200618 yr Author i dunno what happened in poland and belgium BUT i think the phillipines got the album late so only little sales counted towards that weeks chart, thats the impression i got from other forums anyway!! :)
August 23, 200618 yr Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't spot it in the forum. Back to Basics has Christina Aguilera back on top. Sales of the double LP put the singer at #1 on Billboard's albums chart for the second time in her seven-year career. Nearly 342,000 copies of the disc were scanned its opening week, outselling the debut of her previous effort, 2002's Stripped, according to the latest SoundScan data. Stripped failed to open on top, taking second place with more than 330,000 scans. Aguilera's self-titled 1999 debut did bow at #1 after moving 253,000 units. Christina's climb to Billboard's apex was barely challenged by Lyfe Jennings, who sits in the chart's #2 slot with his sophomore offering, The Phoenix. With first-week sales reported at 136,000, the R&B crooner's latest failed to pose a serious threat to Aguilera's dominant release. And country star Trace Adkins didn't stand a fighting chance against the "Dirrty" girl. His new LP, Dangerous Man, sold 115,000 copies to claim the chart's #3 spot. (MTV News)
