I just remembered... I think Tony Di Bart's "The Real Thing" hit #1 in remixed form back in 1994.

Same with Beautiful Liar and the Freemasons mix, although I'm not sure which version most people bought.

 

I bought the CD single which had both - but would only have bought the latter if I could.

e.g. The Saturdays (ft Sean Paul) - What About Us?

I wouldn't count 'What About Us', the Sean Paul version is the 'main' version as far as the UK is concerned.
