Thanks for the review BT. I have seen it before but can't remember if I posted it. Rather have it twice than not at all. The screenings of FHTE may be staggered in different areas - I hope they do as I stand a better chance of catching one of them. They start from the 3rd July in Europe but no idea has been given on exactly where and the timing of it

There are quite a few fhte songs on youtube now.

 

I like Love Me Forever Today the single but I won't buy it. I'll definitely be buying several copies of the castCD but ONLY if it is a hard copy. I don't download - not even Darius!

I like it better in the show as the sound on the recordings isn't good. Robert has said he things the cast cd will be out in July but it sounded as though he was guessing as much as we are

Do you know whether the whole score has been recorded in the studio or will the non singles be as live from the filming, megham?

It's a whole score cast album and was finished in the final week of the show

 

 

The physical release of From Here To Eternity - The Musical is out next week on the 4th August.

It's always harder to do that with the first set of shows. There were so many changes each day. Beccy who played Karen said she'd have been lost if she hadn'r had Darius to remind her of the changes. After Gone With The Wind, he'd had a lot of experiences of that. Still love Gone With The Wind.

It's just great to have an official CD and the bonus of a Dvd of SOMETHING Darius has done...at last!

 

The bits I wasn't keen on were the death dream sequence, the people in the background of More Than America and Something In Return, in which the leads' contributions were well sung and logical but then spoilt by the entrance of hula dancers and boxers, ending with the two female leads in the foreground of a parade of G Company taken by Warden and Captain Holmes. Why? Escapes me! I always fast forward after Ryan sings "I only wanted something in return."

 

 

 

I don't like that they took the song after 'I'm Coming With You' out. All 4 were singing and I thought it worked very well. The trouble with the beach scene is that a lot of people don't know the people were in the club above the beach and couldn't see the bay at all. 'Something In Return' was cut in a place that moved Darius and Rebecca to the barrack room - which isn't were they were at tt the beginning. I'm just being picky though. I really like having the dvd - I'd just have liked the other quartet song and a scene done differently. TGhe cast could have sung the backing from off stage and left the lovers in peace
