Posted August 24, 200618 yr Channel 4 unveils autumn music schedule Source: Music Week Channel 4 has unveiled details of its autumn schedule highlights which reveal a continued dedication to music programming. Among the station's regular output, it will also screen the UK Music Hall of Fame for a second consecutive year, hosted by Dermot O'Leary, among other award shows such as the Vodafone Live Music Awards, the Diesel-U-Music Awards and the Digital Music Awards, sponsored by BT. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Abbey Road Studios, Channel Four will broadcast Live From Abbey Road, which will feature performances from acts who have passed through the legendary facility. The show will debut on More4 before switching to Channel Four. New to T4 screens will be Totally Boy Band. The series follows five former boy band members as they join together to prepare for the release of their first single. Details of this remain under wraps. The Album Chart Show will return for a second series, over the course of 20 weeks. Once again it will be staged at London's Koko venue. The station's live music coverage continues with highlights from Bestival and Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson. There will also be two T4 specials, on Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. Meanwhile, Channel 4 will broadcast two documentaries dedicated to music; How Music Works, a show which will look at melody, rhythm, harmony and bass to establish how music is made and how it comes to reflect different cultures, with Howard Goodall. There will also be God Gave Rock And Roll To You, which deciphers the relationship between popular music and religion. Finally, Channel 4, will air its exclusive documentary on Boy George, entitled The Madness of Boy George. The documentary charts the last ten months of George's life, from his much-publicised arrest in New York in October 2005, on possession of cocaine charges, to his community service in August 2006, picking up litter in a park in New York.
