This is Deltävling 2 of 4. The top two placed songs will qualify for the grand final in Morpeth Cove in Ashton, with 3rd and 4th heading back to Espen for Andra Chansen.

Very surprised to see Nina Nesbitt's 'Stay Out' not being vetoed, I'd personally regard that as being as cheap as 'Obsession' by Tich which did get vetoed. I agree with the Tich veto as it is relatively cheap, but I didn't know how cheap we were allowed to be when I entered that. But I do think that Nina should have been vetoed too seeing as Tich rightly was. But that's my own personal opinion, it is a fantastic song though! :wub:

Stay Out was forgotten almost as soon as it was released and Nina's never done well here, I think it's ok. Doesn't mean I'm voting for it though.

 

Just hoping my GLORIOUS entry doesn't get lost with all these (dance)pop countries hanging around. (it's INDIE-POP which is still good so vote for it)

Yeah that's true. It depends whether we are basing vetos on how many people will have heard the song prior to the competition which I assume more people will have heard 'Stay Out' through the chart show. I agree that Tich does have more hype at this current moment though, so that will be where the difference is. :kink:

We did say that the veto rules were highly relaxed which is why Nina Nesbit went through unchallenged, we only really stepped in where we thought someone was taking the piss (Emeli Sandé - The very definition of overexposed) or where we would stop a track that would be a deeply obvious veto in the standard contest like Tich for example.

 

We didn't use the framework because a lot of it doesn't really apply and we really don't mind cheaper things in spin-offs as long as they aren't tracks that have big hype on the internet, big hype on Buzzjack or are currently smashing the charts provided of course that isn't the aim of the spin-off.

 

 

For me, as a former entrant of Nina Nesbit, she really doesn't have that big a proflie and her past success in BJSC, as Iz pointed out, is marginal at best. On the other hand, Tich has more hype behind her and greater BJSC success so for us the two are in quite different situations which is why we vetoed one and sighed at the other.

Well, I haven't a clue how 'Fantastic Shine' will fare. Where are you Aquafina?!!! :(

Have voted. Some songs I voted for against my will, but meh. The top 3 is fantastic! *.*

The discoveries I have made in this heat are all genuinely better than the songs I knew before this went up. Love it when that happens.

I saw this on Facebook. It's not that good vocally but the idea is there :(

 

Would also help if my type was bears haha.

I don't mind the vocals but the production is rather tinny. I just love the concept though #TeamBear
