Oh, you're right. I'm gonna blame Wikipedia for that one, the 'list of million selling singles' article says 'Unchained Melody' came out in 1994.

Fixed - the November 1994 date was when it got performed on Soldier Soldier, but didn't actually come out as a single until May 1995.

That's not good for Bra - two mistakes in one post. Reputation plummeting AS WE SPEAK

I'm blaming Wikipedia for that as well :D Sorting the table on the Wiki article by artist doesn't put the two Elton songs together because one of them is alphabetised to 'E' and the other to 'J'.

Lesson: Wikipedia should never ever be used for chart statistics ever

Of this list, I reckon there's about 30-35 that I really like, and a dozen that I loathe!
The Beatles six million sellers were spread out over six years: She Loves You (1963); I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1963); Can't Buy Me Love (1964); I Feel Fine (1964); We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper (1965) and Hey Jude (1968). Both John Lennon and Paul McCartney later claimed their seventh million sellers with Imagine (1975/1980) and Mull Of Kintyre (1977) respectively.

It's a shame that nowadays any massive hit can easily sell one million and from 2003-2010, even the biggest hits would hardly reach that much. If sales in 2007 were like nowadays, Umbrella would probably sell a million in its fourth week.
