40 - 36

040. Alexandra Stan "Mr. Saxobeat" (69)

A catchy song from Romania which became a surprise hit in the UK. It was one of my personal favourites of 2011 and no other song of its type has topped it in my opinion, and yours too.

039. Chase & Status feat. Plan B "End Credits" (71)

A song that I was not a big fan of at the time but has grown on me as I've got into C&S' material. It is the most remembered of their hits so it's not surprising to see it as their highest countdown entry.

038. Livin' Joy "Dreamer" (73)

Another song that I'm not familiar with due to its age and its lack of presence in dance compilations, it's a nice listen but not one of my favourites.

037. Baby D "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" (76)

Another 90s dance hit which some of you seem to love but I don't really get the hype. I'm not saying I don't like it but I guess I just wasn't there at the time to really appreciate it.

036. Corona "Rhythm Of The Night" (80)

Have we travelled back in time?!? It's another 90s dance classic which is nice, but it sounds a little dated now.

035. William Orbit "Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)" (82)

A beautiful trance song based on the classical piece Adagio For Strings which is forgotten these days in favour of Tiesto's cover but you guys seem to love this version more.

034. Avicii vs. Nicky Romero "I Could Be The One" (86)

One of my personal favourite songs of 2013, I Could Be The One has all the ingredients for an Avicii hit single, vocals and melody leading up to a hands-in-the-air moment before the beat drops in true Avicii style; but in the second part of the drop the song becomes edgier and you can clearly hear Nicky's influence on the song. This will sadly be overlooked as an Avicii song in the future in favour of Levels and Wake Me Up, but most DJs can only dream of making a song as good as ICBTO so Avicii really has something to be proud of.

033. Ian Van Dahl "Castles In The Sky" (87)

Another big vocal trance record here with an interesting subject matter - but despite it sounding like the generic trance record I can't help but love it.

032. Haddaway "What Is Love" (91)

This is probably one of the most iconic dance songs of the 90s so it is not surprising that it's in the top 40.

031. Modjo "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" (95)

One of the few songs on this list that wouldn't sound out of place on Radio 2, but I love its disco vibes and it never fails to make me feel good on the odd occasion that I hear it.

Not loving the Livin' Joy / Corona / Baby D "shade" there! AMAZING tracks, pioneers of what has come since...

However... Modjo?!!! #31? Seriously?!!! TERRIBLE rip off of Stardust, has no place in this countdown at all as far as I'm concerned!

:(

They took a different sample from a different band - a Chic sample. And guess who worked with Chic years later?

Anyway, I love Lady (if not ladies) :D

Not a huge fan of Livin' Joy.

either 'better off alone' or 'sunchyme' to win this please  either will do, both are two of my favourite songs of all time. could see the former actually getting there as well!
Dreamer should be like #1. Seriously. Although I didn't vote so perhaps I shouldn't talk.

Floppy Thermo is on holiday right now so you can expect to wait a bit for the results to be finished ^_^

(not aimed at anyone I'm just generally speaking)

No no, you're right.

Who's ready for some more results?! :yahoo:

30 - 26

030. iio "Rapture" (97)

Predictable Thermo predictably much prefers the Avicii version of this song.

029. Shapeshifters "Lola's Theme" (98)

And next up is what we call a classic, this is one of the first big dance hits I heard and it's so good!

028. Daft Punk "Around The World" (99)

And it gets even better, with what used to be my fave song of theirs before I got into One More Time/they released Get Lucky but still a tune despite not having much to it.

027. Olive "You're Not Alone" (100)

Onto the 100+ pointers now, and firstly it's a 90s hit from one-hit wonder Olive which is actually quite good.

026. Dario G "Sunchyme" (102)

The best song of this section imo, I love the piano riff on this and everything else is just perfect too.

Dreamer is incredible, one of my most favourite songs ever. Should be much higher.

Love You're Not Alone too.

'sunchyme' only 26?! you what?!

Rui Da Silva? Jakarta? Armand Van Helden? etc...

Also Basement Jaxx' "Where's Your Heat At" not in here?

This countdown is flawed.

025. Donna Summer "I Feel Love" (107)

The oldest song on this countdown, dating back to the late 70s, a song which is very good for it's time and has sold over a million copies in the UK.

024. Disclosure feat. AlunaGeorge "White Noise" (109)

A more recent song here which combines the talents of brothers Disclosure and Aluna Francis on vocals. One of my favourites of the year but they have a better song yet to come.

023. ATB "9PM (Till I Come)" (109)

The UK's first trance #1 and what a great song it is. As I said earlier I do prefer Don't Stop but this is fab too.

022. Daft Punk "One More Time" (111)

Voted the greatest dance song of all time by Mixmag readers but it doesn't do quite as well on Buzzjack. It's a real classic though which was their greatest seller until Get Lucky came along - that is still to come in the countdown.

021. Disclosure feat. Sam Smith "Latch" (117)

Double Disclosure! This just misses the top 20 but it's great to see it this high. This was the song that brought them into the mainstream and it's one of the most original dance songs the chart has ever seen.

020. Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin "Don't You Worry Child" (119)

The highest song on the countdown from SHM and it's no surprise that it's already in the top 20 because it's so good. A future classic.

019. Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams "Get Lucky" (121)

And the most recent song in the top 20 is this, the 2nd highest selling song of 2013. It's amazingly catchy and impossible to hate (in my opinion of course, there are some h8rs of this on BJ unforch) and it's a real contender for my max track of 2013.

018. Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena "Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)" (123)

The mass-amount of Sugababes fans on this forum made this song so high in the countdown, I forgot this song even existed before this. Such an average song.

017. Roger Sanchez "Another Chance" (124)

And now time for a proper classic! This song is 7 minutes of really good house, and it even made #1 in the UK. Proof that the UK have ears.

016. David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland "When Love Takes Over" (127)

Another house tune but this has a more pop feel. It's still great though and a nice one to sing with, but not my favourite song from the Guetta (that's still to come)

Only just noticed this thread this morning. Great countdown featuring some absolute classics and also some tracks I didn't think anybody remembered (i.e ATB Don't Stop, Cascada Miracle) but it's all good. Surprised there's no Jamiroquai in the list, hopefully Space Cowboy is still to come as that is one of my favorite dance anthems ever!

015. XTM & DJ Chucky pres. Annia "Fly on the Wings of Love" (129)

We start the top 15 with a eurodance hit known for being a cover of a Eurovision winner and having a long chart run for its time. Very cheesy but I can't help but like it - but it's not as good as another eurodance hit in this section...

014. Cascada "Everytime We Touch" (131)

... which is at #14! One of my personal favourites of 2006, which was a great year for music - and it's Cascada's best song and you all seem to agree. It does what all their other songs of that era try to do, much better.

013. Massive Attack "Unfinished Sympathy" (135)

The highest trip-hop song on the countdown, a genre that I'm not a fan of. This song is nice but fails to do anything for me, I've never got why it's so hyped. If you want 2 lines of praise ask one of the forum's many indie lovers.

012. Rudimental feat. John Newman "Feel the Love" (141)

Now a song I can really get behind! This song was love from first listen really, a drum n' bass song that is more than just a drum n' bass song, with the soulful vocals of Mr. Newman and that sax solo.

011. Robert Miles "Children" (143)

You wot Buzzjack? Not top 10? Seriously? Literally one of my favourite songs ever, such a simple but beautiful piano melody but makes me wanna dance at the same time. Perfection.

It's almost that time when you find out Buzzjack's Ultimate Dance Song of all time. Here's the top 10 in alphabetical order so you can predict! :D

Alice Deejay "Better Off Alone"

Darude "Sandstorm"

David Guetta feat. Sia "Titanium"

DJ Sammy & Yanou feat. Do "Heaven"

Faithless "Insomnia"

N-Trance "Set You Free"

Snap! "Rhythm is a Dancer"

Source feat. Candi Staton "You Got the Love"

Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis Bextor "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)"

Underworld "Born Slippy"

Born Sippy to win please. If This Ain't Love REALLY shouldn't be in the top 10 :(
