Posted July 31, 201311 yr Regretfully Martin has decided to leave the Moderating team :( I want to acknowledge the incredible work Martin has done as part of the team that has overseen this contest grow from strength the strength over the past couple of years. I have enjoyed working with and getting to know Martin so I'm pretty devastated to be losing such a great mod from our team. He's put in some seriously hard work alongside the rest of the guys to pull off some great events, revive the stats thread and general contest running. It's a very big loss, as losing any member of this team would be. A decision on a new moderator will be made after the completion of the TempMod programme, in the mean time I am happy to say that Cal and I have banded together and are holding Martin hostage in the Staff forum until we make that decision. :lol:

July 31, 201311 yr Thanks guys ^_^ I'm sad to be leaving the role as I've loved working alongside the other mods and playing a part in the running of this area of the forum, but having just accepted a full time job and with my uni course continuing in a couple of months time, I won't be able to find the time needed to commit to the moderating role. I'm not sure if Caerfyrddia will continue to enter the contest, we'll have to see how much spare time I have after I start my new job tomorrow, but if this is the end of the road then I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to host a regular edition of the contest and having had 3 top 10's in a row and an appearance in the BJFestivalen final, which is an unprecedented string of good results for Caerfyrddia in this contest, it does seem like the best time to bow out (before the inevitable return to DNQs occurs!). We'll see though! Good luck to whoever is chosen as my replacement! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun!
July 31, 201311 yr Ghosty ended well and truly on a high note, if you're going to go, you gotta do it with style. Martin has done this, and then some. Huzzah!!! \o/ :D I'm sure Martin is only stepping down because he has other commitments in his life so it's only fair. Anyways Ghosty has been tremendous with BJSC and with this news I'm even more glad that Caerfyrddia finally got a win ('The Deserters' to win BJSC - The Rejects pls thnx).

I do hope to see you continuing to enter the contest because Caerfyrddia is definitely one of my favourite countries in the contest (and I'd hate to lose one of my bordering nations (Daehun can go actually)). Thanks for being a great mod over le years ~

But, seriously, I'm just repeating what I said from the previous thread about your status - thank you for doing a fabulous job in keeping BJSC running so smoothly and kudos for you keeping the stats thread updates. Looks like hell. Shame to see you leaving the BJSC thread altogether, but as said, you certainly ended it on a high! :(

As much a I enjoyed my month back in the fold, even though it was drama filled, my own increasingly busy routine would prevent me from being able to step back up to doing it full time, so you can withdraw me from consideration if I even was being considered :lol:
