Posted August 16, 201311 yr The second single from True, 'You Make Me', can be heard here: Zzm6elTXx5M Features the vocals of Salem Al Fakir (Melodifestivalen 2010/Silhouettes) and is co-written by Avicii, Salem and Vincent Pontare (BJSC XII Rontvian entrant with Miss Blue). It has a pretty cool piano house melody in the verses before Avicii's trademark synths come in. Out September 15th in the UK, and it's already available to pre-order here. Another #1, or will it fall short? Sounds pretty instantly likeable to me, and a rather interesting more enthusiastic than usual vocal from Salem! I wish he was credited, it's bizarre that after the whole Collidegate with Leona that Avicii doesn't credit his featured vocalists! Maybe only producers are worthy of a credit in his eyes?
August 17, 201311 yr Author First post updated with the full song, which has now received its first play. It's very good, won't be as huge as the last two singles I wouldn't have thought though.
August 18, 201311 yr Quite underwhelmed by this on first listen. The vocal and melodies are nothing special and the instrumental doesn't feel particularly euphoric or even energetic. 5/10.
August 18, 201311 yr Pretty much what Jark has said. It's really nothing special, which is a shame really. 'Wake Me Up' has really grown on me.
August 19, 201311 yr It's no Wake Me Up but it's goood. Hopefully it can be the Silhouettes to Wake Me Up's Levels.
August 23, 201311 yr I don't know what to make of this. My sister said "You need to hear Avicii's new song, it sounds like something Calvin Harris would have done on his first album.", but I'm just not hearing that at all.
August 23, 201311 yr I pretty much agree with everything that's been said already...this is a massive disappointment on first listen I stopped it before the 1st minute was up. It may go low top 10 given the album is out on the same week but it will drop fast! After 2 brilliant tracks this year I'm really hoping this could grow on me in the same way Silhouettes did but if this is representative of the album I definitely won't be buying
August 24, 201311 yr I think this is absolutely terrible. I might have quite liked the piano line as an instrumental but the whole thing is just a mess to me.
August 24, 201311 yr This is pretty bad... Not that anything he's done has impressed me so far at all, Wake Me Up has grated on me very fast and is incredibly overrated much like 99% of his output.
August 24, 201311 yr I Could Be The One really was a one off wasn't it?! Everything else is mostly terrible or just average.
August 30, 201311 yr Further proof that he was far, far better before he found massive mainstream success.
August 31, 201311 yr Already out in Germany, just bought it :kink: But tbh what everyone else said this is far from his best, but it's still growing on me :D
August 31, 201311 yr This isn't that bad. Well it's not as bad as everyone else is making out. I wasn't expecting anything to match Wake Me Up as he's always been a little hit and miss for me but this is perfectly fine and it could easily get better with a few more plays.
September 1, 201311 yr Author This is tanking on iTunes worldwide so far, in comparison to Wake Me Up which flew to the top in most countries even before major promotion kicked in. It's doing best in Sweden, naturally, but even so it's only on 0.39 compared to Wake Me Up which has been out there for three months and is STILL #1!
September 1, 201311 yr Yeah this needs to be scrapped. Surely there's something better from the album which could be the next single
September 2, 201311 yr Yeah this needs to be scrapped. Surely there's something better from the album which could be the next single  There definitely is... 6mwbz3ocKZM I do hope You Make Me doesn't flop too hard and kill the campaign :(
