Posted August 19, 201311 yr hey everyone, have tried other forums, but thought id ask my fellow buzzjackers, what kinda music software (if any) do you all use? would be good to have some reccemendations, as i wanna start doing my own music.
August 19, 201311 yr To make music, I've used Sibelius, Fl Studio and Logic Pro. Sibelius is better if you're more familiar writing music on a piano score, and doing orchestral music. FL Studio and Logic Pro are better in pretty much every other case. FL Studio if you have Windows, Logic Pro (or Pro Tools) if you have an Apple computer. I find FL Studio much easier to use out of the two personally. There's also other programs like Garageband, Cubase, Reason, but I've never used those, so I can't really speak for them (I wouldn't recommend Garageband though, since it's quite a basic program, although Umbrella by Rihanna and Love in This Club by Usher were made using Garageband ).
August 19, 201311 yr Ableton 9 is the main software I use nowadays, but it's quite an expensive set up once fully customized. This might be worth a look at for a beginner and it's free. :) http://www.acidplanet.com/downloads/xpress/ Edited August 19, 201311 yr by ►ej
August 19, 201311 yr I use Reason to make music and Mixmeister to do DJ mixes. I haven't really used Ableton but I hear it's good.
