But the tour was 3 years after Ray of Light. I know song titles don't always have to be a lyric in the song but I don't know why it's that and another title.

My least favourite single from Ray of Light but considering the quality of said album, 'Nothing Really Matters' is still a great track. Was surprised to learn it wasn't on the set-list for the Drowned World Tour but I suppose a Grammy performance more than makes up for that.

Next up is what I believe to be my mum's favourite Madonna single (great choice, ma!). 'Beautiful Stranger' was the theme song to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and to me is much more superior than Beyoncé's 'Work It Out' or 'Britney's 'Boys' from the succeeding film. As of September 2010, this was in Madonna's Top 10 Best Selling Singles although I am quite confident that 'Vogue' has now pushed it out.

Another track from the 98-99 period, this time 'The Power of Goodbye' - my second favourite from Ray of Light. I find the intro to this very similar to the video intro to J-Lo's 'On the Floor', am I alone in thinking this? :P I always thought this performed very well in the charts for a fourth single from a million selling album; reckon it's deserving of a place on Celebration, which really would have been best off released with 3 discs.

This is a perfect example of why you should rate each and every song! :P Had this been awarded just a 7 from THEO., it would be the winner that everyone was expecting. Whilst I prefer the two remaining songs, this is unquestionably one of the best from Madonna's discography, proven by it being dubbed the best Madonna song by some critics - as well as one of the best of all time - and being her fastest selling single in the UK. 'Frozen' would definitely be one of my first choices I'd recommend to someone who was interested in hearing Madonna's material due to the vocals and production; there's something much more haunting about it than any of her other tracks.

How can u not know frozen ?

 

This was the clear favourite on this site. Even though I also prefer the next two songs!

This is definitely my favourite from the album of same name so whilst I wasn't expecting it, I'm happy it's above 'Frozen'. As far as I can remember, this was the first Madonna song I heard - could have been 'Music' but I definitely have better memories of 'Ray of Light' from when I was a kid. I loved it then and haven't stopped since. :wub: There's been some great live performances of this: The Oprah Winfrey Show and Sticky and Sweet Tour versions especially for me.

Madonna's signature hit from the 80s won the last round so it's only fitting that 90s one won this round. 'Vogue' was influenced by the dance move "voguing"; whilst Madonna didn't create this move she certainly helped it become one of the biggest dance crazes ever. Likewise, 'Vogue' has become on of the biggest selling singles ever, shifting over 6 million copies worldwide (reportedly Madonna's second highest seller). Undoubtedly a worthy winner. :D
