Could somebody run me through Helene Fischer's career in a nutshell?

 

Is she more of an albums act than a singles act usually? I can't fathom why I'd never heard of her before (the amazing) Atemlos Durch Die Nacht, yet she's apparently been huge in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and Denmark for a decade. I guess I generally follow the singles charts as opposed to the album chart, but it seems odd that it's taken her so long to achieve a hit single if she's such a massive star.

Seems so weird that a woman in her 20s would make a career as an albums act but I guess it's the nature of the genre. Although wasn't Germany's biggest selling single of the 00s Ein Stern by DJ Otzi? :lol:

 

Good for her to finally get a hit single! I've not heard of Andrea Berg but I have heard all of the versions of Atemlos.
