It seems awkward that a discussion of this caliber hasn't started yet in here since there's been rumours circulating about it for weeks now.

I personally think the sole idea of this is dreadful. I don't want/need Britney anywhere near the utter mess that is Miley Cyrus.

What do you guys think about this?

I never really liked/disliked Miley until I saw VMA performance yesterday...omg, I was really embarrassed watching her touching Robin crotch.

I'm pretty sure if this is true then Britney's people are trying to pull out from it. I can't see anyone wanting to be connected to Miley after all this negativity. Robin Thicke himself must be full of regret.

Having said that, it was pretty much the performance of the year just like Britney's was 10 years ago with Madge and Xtina.

The thing is, the Team behind Miley is the very same Team behind Britney, they share management

I know, I can't believe she got anywhere near the legend that is Godbin Thicke

I don't understand why you're all frustrated, Miley is one of the biggest pop stars at the moment and everything she touches seems to go to number one on iTunes, I think this is the perfect chance for Britney to gather some hype before her single is released!

I do agree that this song will smash if released as a single, I just happen to dislike Miley a lot.

I see no problem with it, the overreaction to Mileys performance is ridiculous, she wanted to get people talking and she did. As long as its Britney featuring on other artists songs and not them ruining hers...Will.I.Am.

It wouldn't surprise me if it debuted at number one on the billboard when released, both sets of fans will instantly download the single and It could debut with over 500,000+ sales. Britney's management are being incredibly smart by putting her on a Miley single as she's smashing the world right now (her album pre-orders have managed to outperform Katy Perry everywhere). Weather we like it or not, Miley is easily the biggest popstar on the planet right now, the amount of hype / attention she's getting is unbelievable, weather you like Britney or not it's going to help Britney tons.

I do agree with everything you're stating. But I want Britney to feature in music I will be able to like and enjoy, and I have never liked anything Miley's ever released. I hope I get converted, though.

I can't stand Miley, I DID loved 'Can't Be Tamed' album (especially Who Owns My Heart ) but 'We Can't Stop' is utter trash and after seeing VMA performance I can't stand her even more.. BUT

Sean Garrett has tweeted that the song is nuts, so obviously they have recorded it. So i'm in if they put the song on the album.

Agreed! ^_^

I'm sure it'd be brilliant. I'm loving Miley atm personally.

You're joking right? Since when does Britney needs to attach herserlf to lesser artists to be relevant?

I mean, it's Britney b~~~h and all!

You would love ' Wrecking Ball '

I wouldn't say that Britney Spears is more relevant to Miley Cyrus in the slightest. Miley along with Katy Perry and Rihanna are the biggest popstars at the moment, everything Miley is touching at the moment in smashing.

Her pre-orders on USA iTunes and single sales are showing how dominant Miley is.

I've got nothing more to add to this discussion then.

Of course Britney is one of the biggest popstars ever! Her recent album under-performed though! I just think Britney & Miley is a guaranteed smash, It's certain that it will gain Britney an incredible amount of hype for the release of her brand new single.

^^

Yeah, I mean it must me be who is living under the rock since I'm really not aware of Miley status ruling-the-pop-world

I still think it's a terrible idea. I can't see them doing anything spectacular together, but I'll be gladly surprised if they do.

And Femmer Fatale hardly under-performed. Sure, it wasn't as big as her previous stuff but it was still big. The had a good run with that area and now it's all about taking it up to the next step.

I can't see Miley's bad girl persona helping Britney in that regard. Also, if Gaga can get all this hype with an under-average lead single then Brit can top it all with the fantastic lead single we're all expecting.

Britney definitely doesn't need Miley Cyrus for the hype. I mean HIAM had massive sales, she was at her hometown and out on fishing while HIAM was storming the iTunes.

And FF did okayish, almost 800,000 is not that bad (USA). Definitely better than 'Can't Be Tamed' totals.

I really hope that I will, I was very excited for her new album before I heard that trash-.

I'll wait to hear the song before I judge. It's almost definitely happening at this point, "we can't stop" it. :arrr:
