Englebert Humperdink is number 31 at sales of just over 3,100, that would mean Gary would be 3,000 or sales more up as well. All going to plan, he should be passing double platinum next week.

I bought a second copy of this today, I own it already but got it for Mother's Day, they're giving away the Sing EP/album for free when you buy the album, which is only £6.99 anyway! I kept that for myself as I never bought it physically originally
Fantastic offer, two for the price of one and surely will result in positive sales for the album. Is that offer in only shop particularly or a branch of shops?
Climbs to Number 20 in today's midweek update. The thing is, as we have discussed, Gary has proven to end up higher on the official Sunday chart than the first midweek update, following that trend, top 20 should be secure and there is potential for a top 15 return. If we say he is certain to a make a top 20 return the sales should be enough to finally certify the album double platinum in actual sales. :cheer:  :cheer:
Well, he's got the tour starting Saturday, Mother's Day - including special offers and airplay for the new single, so maybe back in top 10 is possible.
A Top 10 return would be ideal and much welcomed, in its life time i think the album has possible potential to have 700,000 sales to its credit.

In the latest set of midweek information Gary has now moved up to number 15. Is top 10 in sight? Saturday will see many people making their last minute mothers day present purchases so at a guess i believe top 10 is achievable. Should it not happen, to be top 15 on the week it is officially certified double platinum is wonderful news.

With his tour kicking off at the weekend, it could potentially be enough to help stabilise the albums sales for next week and we have the single following shortly, the album looks like it could build up a couple of more weeks within the top 40 chart.

Yep, 11 weeks in the top 10 now. Hopefully the tour will keep it holding strong

it will probably drop a nice but this week but from here its a bonus, we all originally wanted a platinum selling akbum and its doubled that, i do think it will in time make 700,000 sales which is fantastic.
I was secretly hoping re-entering the top 10 would happen but was cautious that it may be unrealistic so i am so happy Gary managed it. I hope sales in the top 10 are high this week, over the last couple of weeks the number 10 album has sold 7,500 or there abouts, those figures will be certifying it double platinum so we need around 97,000 more sales to make tit to 700,000 Aphrodite which i do agree with is possible.
Since I Saw You Last sold over 12,000 copies to make number 10. Those sales are excellent and I really didnt think they would be so high :yahoo:

sales this week so much higher than i ever expected 12k for gary is excellent news.

The album has done much more than any of us could of hoped for.

To be certified double platinum, and to have been in the top 40 since November is remarkable. And now he is playing the biggest solo arenas he has ever done, so pleased for him!

P.s - he has the 8th biggest selling album of the year so far http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...znsyyhY.twitter

The album i certainly agree has done much more than what we could have hoped for. A top 20 position for this week would add a further 5,000 sales and with the tour and single it should keep the album within the top 40 for another couple of weeks. His tour has sold out so this solo era for Gary is exceptional and by far his most successful solo era to date.
