44,000 for first day sales is a wonderful start, it may manage 100,000 in total maybe this week?

It would be amazing if he could! As we expected though 1D sold 115000 as of yesterday

Gary number 2 as we expected but sales of 58,000 which is more than impressive, he may just make 100,000 by the end of the week. One Direction have a massive lead which isnt a surprise. Platinum status for Since I Saw You Last is the worst possible outcome now. Part of me thinks he is in with a chance of achieving half a million sales by the time the campaign is totally finished.

Is that 58,000 up to the end of yesterday?

From reading the midweeks it appears that way. Some interesting info in the midweeks write up, it said 58,000 means it has sold over double of 12 months 11 days which means 12 months complete total is around 25,000 which is awful as in my opinion its a great album and still is to this day even though Gary himself even disagrees, it also says 12 months opened on 1st week sales of 5,000. What a turnaround for this album and it still has loads of sales left in it yet.

Gary and Elton are number 91 on itunes, i hope it can make the top 100 on Sunday, it appears the only cherry pick from the album that i can see.

Number 2 on Fridays update with 87,000 sales, he will easily manage 100,000 now and probably sell similar to what Robbie managed last week. One Direction are 100,000 ahead of him, their sales are just phenomenal.

 

The album has made a number 5 debut in Ireland which is also some good news.

Opening on 100,000 will be brilliant and its looks certain to do it, hopefully he will now manage at least 4 weeks of very decent sales.

If he can get 100k that'll be amazing! Just a shame that 1D released on the same week

 

P.S - the BPI have updated SISYL to Silver with sales of 60,000. Hopefully they'll update him again on Sunday to Gold with 100,000 sold

Getting certifications in week 1 is a good start. I think he will manage around 105,000 for this week, thats only 9,000 sales per day over friday and saturday.

Number 2 debut with 116,000 copies sold outselling Robbie's first week sales in the process!

I am so impressed with his sales and i was also thinking the same about him outselling Robbie. Since saw you last looks likely to end up Garys best selling solo album now based on those opening sales. Lets hope it holds up strong especially over Chritsmas, the X Factor performance with Elton John should give it a nice boost.

I hope Face To Face is a big hit, it deserves to be! Let Me Go is also a massive grower, absolutely loving it now. The album is ten times better than I thought it would be and I say that as a big fan of Gary and his previous solo stuff. Good for him ending up at #2 on both charts!

It's great great news! Very very happy for him. The icing on the cake now would be to have a top 10 with Face To Face and for Gary to climb to number 1 on the back of it

Just wish he'd gone up against robbie now and got the top spot! Great how he sold more than Katy Perry, James Arthur etc

 

Face To Face has been confirmed for the final so hopefully that'll convince people to buy the album as well

Sales of Let Me Go just over 60,000, excellent prediction! I am so happy with the opening sales of Since I Saw You Last, what a start to this era of his solo career, so deserved and long may it last.

Ya i was almost spot on but was very far off last week, my aim is 36,000 for this coming week.

I wonder how much 1D will drop by this week

50% at the least but will still sell clearly over 100,000 in the process.
