I love it too, but for me it's not the best, but it's up there.

Katy's songs don't * usually* sell a million here, though then again before 2013 GaGa's were and Miley Cyrus wasn't huge.

Wonder if Tasha can mount a comeback this year ... stranger things have happened!

Firework is very close to be a million seller..It's a very rare combination of a good pop song with meaningful lyrics..It deserves it a thousand times more than Get Lucky and Blurred Lines.
It's too early to say that but i feel that Roar will be a million seller..It's the best song of the year for me.

I can see it as a million seller too but I would like to wait for her first week sales and than judge. :-)

I hope Roar doesn't sell a million. It's really not that good :( Anyway Firework will probably get there soon so Katy will have a million seller to her name whether Roar does it or not.

Yay get that boost Get Lucky. I haven't seen the latest X Factor shows yet but great to see them using that (not so yay at them re-using Listen and Read All About It part 37263558384)

I just realised something, the person who said Katy always releases new stuff in summer was right!

Edited by Michael!

Roar is an excellent start to Katys new chapter of her career and i think it will be huge and potentially a million seller. Roar is much better than Get Lucky and Blurred Lines but i would rate Avicii the best number 1 of the year followed closely by Katy Perry.

I personally don't see Roar having the longevity (sales-wise) Firework did (and let's not even PRETEND it's in the same league as Get Lucky )

The orchestral-sounding chorus is what sold Firework the most I think. It sounded so epic the first time I heard it. It also benefits from when it was released, had it been a hit in, say, 2008 when sales were lower, it wouldn't be close to a million, and probably would've sold less than I Kissed a Girl and Hot N Cold.

I think even if Firework was released in the same climate as Hot N' Cold and I Kissed A Girl it would have outsold those. It definitely has had the most cultural impact out of her songs. IKAG was very of the time and so I think more people would say Firework if they were asked to name a KP song.
Yeah, Avicii + Miley were the best no.1s.

Avicii yes, Miley no!

Roar is good but I agree its not her strongest single but it is still a good track!

Good to see London Grammar are looking good for another top 40 and maybe their highest peak so far

 10. Neon Jungle - Trouble

Oh. Bye from the top 10 again then DJ Fresh :( I still haven't heard 'Trouble' but I'm not expecting anything decent, everything I know about them just screams new Parade. Looks like this might chart slightly higher than 'Louder' but I doubt it'll be around long.

 23. Strong (Edit) - London Grammar :cheer:

' We Can't Stop ' and ' What About Us ' two of the best number ones of 2013. Thanks.
LOL not in a world where 'Mirrors' and 'Roar' exist. Soz. xoxo

Best number ones of 2013!? (Difficult choice)

Avicii, Daft Punk and Naughty Boy...

Worst number ones of 2013 (Easy peasy )

Miley Cyrus, One Direction and Robin Thicke :puke:

Trouble isn't too dissimilar from I Love It so if you like that you'll like Trouble. ;)

Well given I'm possibly the most vocal hater of 'I Love It'... :P

The tracks on ministry label are underperforming, not surviving as long in the charts as you'd expect, DJ Fresh for example only likely to get two weeks in top ten

....which is still pretty damn good, all things considered :P
