Postponed coz RCA have second thoughts on lead single. GODDAMMIT!

Its understandable I imagine Alex is putting her foot down for Elephant and RCA are saying under no circumstances is that happening :D

It is supposedly a choice between an Erick Morillo track or a Benny Bennassi song (from PJ).

where you hear that from?

A poster on PJ:

"What a negative way of looking at things. I'm not even a massive Burke fan, but from what I've heard it's more a case of there's two amazing songs that they can't decide what to lead with, rather than desperately searching for a single. It's between the Benny Benassi song and and the Eric Morillo song. The last I was told, it was the latter song that was going to be the single.

Wrapping up this project with alexandra burke @djjosenunez @ErickMorillo. I can't wait to share it with the world!

Beasties came from her stealing of the Black Eyed Peas's line "I'm a beat, and you turn me on" (referring to herself/an alter ego as "the Beast"). Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this - I'm actually not that bothered what the direction is, just as long as it's fairly original. I've even grown to tolerate 'Start Without You' now, and surely this will be another #1 either way?

Start Without You is her best song EVER. One of my fave songs of 2010 actually. Speaking of surely the Beasties name comes from the "eh, eh, I'm like a beast"? She didn't nick anything from BEPs, she has more taste

'Start Without You' was dire and completely ruined the whole "followingship" of Alex Burke for me. I'm still interested what is she going to release next, especially with Eric and Benny on board!
Well, whatever the lead single is, it sounds like it's going to be dance pop/europop, judging by those producers. Not that I was expecting anything different, it's the only way she can be confident to get a hit tbh.
i cant wait, but she sed shes going sexier, so i hope she dont wear ridiculous outfits like in SWY coz that was plain slutty. and if she starts singing lyrics like rude boy or S&M i wont be happy, she has a young fan base.
I think something like What Happens On The Dancefloor would be good, a nice progression in sound but not too try-hard or too far away from the real Alex.
I hope she sticks with the dirty-ish beats of 'Good Night, Good Morning'. It really, REALLY works for her. I think she'd suit the dirty, dark, electro vibe too.

I know that THE BEAST is going to BRING IT in all possible ways. I looked over her debut and didn't realise how much I enjoyed all of it, especially the singles.

I expect non-generic, quality popular music.

Do I detect sarcasm?

You would think but even though I find her to be a pretty vile character, musically and on stage I like her. 'All Night Long' is one of my pop favourites of the last 3 years or so.

Shame I trapped myself in a GUSHY CLICHÉ but then THIS IS Alex Beasty
