Might as well have one as I'm sure there are a few people on here (besides myself) who get rather EXCITED by the whole thing.

 

Anyway I have just read the news that DAME Angela Lansbury is getting an honourary Oscar *.*

 

Oh and it's also looking to be a brilliant year in terms of films anyway, what with: August: Osage County, Grace Of Monaco, Saving Mr Banks, Gravity (especially this), 12 Years A Slave, The Butler and the list goes on and on.

I really think Cate Blanchett should be nominated for Blue Jasmine, she's such a brilliant actress that deserves another Oscar!

I've read a lot of buzz about it so I expect she will. It's going to be an absolute bloodbath though what with Meryl also likely to be in the mix, Dame Judi, Sandra Bullock, Emma Thompson and a few others bagging themselves a lot of buzz too.

 

AND Supporting Actress has: Margo Martindale, Octavia Spencer and Oprah Winfrey all picking up lots of early buzz too. Insane.

Meryl's apparently been shifted to Supporting, which, according to all info about the play, is completely absurd - sadly it'll probably also kick Martindale out.

WUT? From the trailer alone she looks like one of, if not the, main character. I hate when they do shit like that to make a win/nomination more likely. It really would be a crying shame if it causes Margo to miss out, bitch is on a ROLL and it really would be quite deserved (if not for the perf, for everything else she's done).
