The top two stays the same for the third week running as Lady Gaga's Applause makes it three weeks on top with Katy Perry's Roar spending a third week in a row stuck behind at No.2! Tensnake's 58 BPM moves up a place to a new peak of No.3, The Saturdays shoot to No.4 with Disco Love and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis score their second top five hit of the year with Mary Lambert collaboration Same Love! In the album chart it's Ellie Goulding at the top for a second week with Halcyon Days whilst Sara Bareilles remains at No.2 with former chart topper The Blessed Unrest! Naughty Boy climbs to No.3 with Hotel Cabana, Avicii's True sticks at No.4 and Ariana Grande jumps a place to No.5 with debut album Yours Truly!

Thanks Jason, I'm still loving these two tracks but Applause just that little bit more. Yes The Saturdays have had one No.1 in my chart, Higher in 2010. Most of their songs tend to peak top 5/10, they've had four No.2's with Up, Issues, Just Can't Get Enough and What About Us! I think You Make Me could go top 10/20 here but I don't think it will be that big. Maybe similar to how big Lifted is compared to La La La for Naughty Boy.

Thanks David, I've sent 58 BPM for three reasons, firstly because I love it, secondly because the 58 is apt for the contest (!) and thirdly because it is indeed SO different to the other stuff by Tensnake that it doesn't feel like shameless recycling. I hope it can find some fans, I'd just like to make the final! Disco Love didn't quite win me over on first listen but repeated listens and the video have helped massively! Oh I love Royals, quite a bit more than Tennis Court too which seems more critically lauded. But good for her, it doesn't sound like a smash so I'm glad that it actually is.

 

Yeah definitely agree about the Celine song, the Sia demo is flawless, Celine does a great job with it but it IS trademark Sia, in the way that Diamonds/Let Me Love You aren't so much. Agree about the Drake song, my favourite lead of his is Take Care which went top five for me. I've always liked but not loved Rizzle Kicks, although I was one of their first supporters on here - Down With The Trumpets was a big hit in my chart. Skip To The Good Bit is their best in a while, great use of the EMF sample. Hmm yeah, Human Race isn't the catchiest song ever but it has a lot of potential to grow.

Naughty Katy and her Bareilles copying! Brave remains great though! I agree, I love Eliza so much, she gets so slated on this forum but Let It Rain is an anthem! Agree about Chasing The Sun, after all it topped my chart, which album tracks hardly every do! Roaring 20s is good, I love the lyrics on a lot of the songs but this one really jumped out at me as a potential smash! Think About It is quite cool and chilled, not his best by any means but another decent single nonetheless.

Thanks Haus, Roar is getting closer to Applause, but both are great! Poor MKS, but I guess they were always going to be more of a cult prospect than a huge smash. Agree with you about Margaret, not spectacular but bodes nicely for the album.
