September 16, 201311 yr *Should* get to #1 on pre sales then.. Just needs to get some radio support now. edit. It's available to pre order now! Yap, just came here to wrote this. P.S The new The Killers song is out too! (no on ITUNES and all...)
September 16, 201311 yr UK release date is next month. What?????? It hasn't been released in the UK yet but all over the world?? Strange.
September 16, 201311 yr What?????? It hasn't been released in the UK yet but all over the world?? Strange. ...this happens with like half of worldwide OA/OS releases? Have you never noticed that?
September 16, 201311 yr It's good aswell, Britney doing OA/OS just doesn't really work and HAIM & TTWE didn't get the best out of the method. I think a held back release where they can build up hype and airplay is very good for her.
September 16, 201311 yr With every passing release, she loses more and more of her identity. This could've been sung by literally anyone. I kinda like the first breakdown, but everything else, big MEH. I reckon it'll go top 5 though.
September 16, 201311 yr ...this happens with like half of worldwide OA/OS releases? Have you never noticed that? Of course I have, but it's quite stupid. Especially in this case, when it's available everywhere except the UK.
September 16, 201311 yr I think a held back release where they can build up hype and airplay is very good for her. It's okay, but waiting for 1,5 months is ridiculous. Why don't they build the hype in a week or so?!
September 16, 201311 yr Depends what kind of radio support this gets, a guest slot on X Factor could be a game changer, but there's no reason why this shouldn't make the top ten.

U can call me stan or whatever you want, but I really don't see anyone else's vocal (singing, talking lol) on this one...Britney definitely made it for herself and owns it.
September 17, 201311 yr The trouble with this song is that it's got the word 'Bitch' in it. Which means radio probably won't support it. And if they do, they'll just edit out the word 'Bitch' so the song will just go "Now get to work", which doesn't really have the same impact. But either way, it's not gonna get much airplay, and for that reason I don't think it will go Top 10, should go Top 20 just for her name though. And as for the song itself, I agree with whoever said that she's lost her identity and doesn't even sound like she's trying any more, this could have been sung by anyone.

The radio edit (Just called 'Work') got sent out to UK radio yesterday morning. Yes it does censor the word 'Bitch', so ends up as "Now Get To Work", "you better work, work". So the change in name for the radio edit could damage the track too. She should of left Work Bitch as an album track and released a track which all stations could of got on board with (i.e a bubble gum pop Toxic style track) instead of releasing stuff most radio stations clearly won't touch! September 17, 201311 yr To be fair radio 1 playlisted 'If U Seek Amy' despite cutting half of the chorus out. Radio wouldn't support her whatever she releases, it's all down to her profile and who she is not the song...

Yeah, a more poppy track which radio would have played would definitely have benefitted her! And if she'd left Work Bitch as an album track, it probably would have charted from the hype when the album was released. To be fair radio 1 playlisted 'If U Seek Amy' despite cutting half of the chorus out. Radio wouldn't support her whatever she releases, it's all down to her profile and who she is not the song... Radio 1 definitely won't, but other radio stations would have supported a more commercial sounding song. Tbf I forgot that R1 playlisted a censored version of 'If U Seek Amy'! September 17, 201311 yr I'd say if she actually promotes with a decent X Factor performance, it could go top 3 (higher depending on the performance). If no promo besides a video, top ten. All of her leads have still gotten safely into the top ten. And I'm obsessed with Britney, but I am still able to identify Britney in her element. Almost everything off her last two albums (there are exceptions), lacked the spark that was Britney. She sounds exciting in "Work Bitch", especially in the verses"GO CALL THE GOVAHNAHH". You can tell she has involvement in the song besides just showing up. Blows away everything she's done since "Blackout". Edited September 17, 201311 yr by Tyler
