I am a big fan of both these excellent bands. They are both releasing Greatest Hits albums on the same day next month and pondered who will perform best. Both have had quiet similar album success in the UK although both their last studio albums did not perform as strongly as previous release. It is a hard one to call, predictions anyone???

Also i should add i think the Killers are crazy not to have added an extra cd containing all their Christmas singles on one disc.

I think the Killers will outsell Keane. Keane's popularity in terms of sales has dropped off a lot with their last couple of albums..nonetheless the killers last album only made platinum status so it could be close.
Neither will beat GaGa to #1 but both should be top 5 and sell well. The Killers should be a surefire #2 (going for that Oasis thing of #1 studio albums and #2 greatest hits), especially if "Shot At The Night" does well.

I love both bands to death but I think it's safe to say The Killers are my favourite band ever and I will want them to do better than anyone in the world.

I hope both bands complete the Top 3 that week. I'm extremely pressed at Gaga cause she'll surely make No.1

I wish that they would both release another actual album rather than a greatest hits. I already own all their previous albums and wouldn't want to waste my money buying a greatest hits with all songs I already have, so will probably end up just buying the new tracks. It's interesting though, that if I remember correctly this will be the first album from both bands not to make number 1 (if you exclude Sawdust which wasn't really an album) - they should change the release dates so at least one of them has a chance. Doubt they will bother though. :(
The Killers will easily beat Keane although both are near the end of there successful run mainly being down to one hit per album. Neither will be as big as Robbie Williams Swing album this season though!!

Hmm, I love both. BUT I find Keane's music to be more consistant, Killers are a bit more hit and miss.

The Killers will probs chart higher though.

The Killers released a digital EP containing the first 6 of their Christmas singles a while ago. Of course they've had 1 or 2 more since then though.

I think The Killers probably will outsell Keane on the first week but I actually wouldn't be surprised to see Keane overtaking after that and selling more overall. It'll be a shame to see them lose their 100% #1 strike rate :P But both bands will retain their 100% record of #1s with studio album releases anyway.

Looking at the tracking lists, the Keane greatest hits is something that would reach out to the fanbase as well as the general fans as it has a disc full of B-sides, but I think it's easy to say The Killers will be doing better. The Killers have a few more hits than Keane - with the latter I couldn't name you another song by them aside 'Somewhere Only We Know' and 'Everybody's Changing' - plus overall The Killers seem to be a much more bigger band and will probably get Radio 1 support for their new single whereas Keane will be more Radio 2.

I prefer the Killers but do like Keane. I think both will sell ok, I can't really call it.

Hopefully Dido's GH will smash all competition. Wishful thinking, I know.

I love both these bands and would love to do well and both continue their runs of number 1 album. I do slightly prefer the Killers and I think they are still a bigger band than Keane. For me Keanes debut was their strongest debut album where I think the killers third studio album day and age was their strongest for me. Overall he Killers also have more hit singles. Keane have had some great singles from their last few albums but its a while since they had a decent hit which is such a shame. What I really don't want is both bands to announce a hiatus after these greatest hits as I a feeling they will.
I loved Keane's first album but kinda got bored of them as time went on. Whereas I've never got bored of The Killers and will definitely be buying their Greatest Hits! And my personal opinion aside, I think their GH will outsell Keane's.

Can't see Dido doing very well as it's mainly just hits from her first two albums so the millions who hve those just won't bother with it.

The Killers will definitely sell the most of the two, won't go to #1 though (since it's out the same week as Gaga). A top 10 place would be good enough for Keane i'd say

I never expected either greatest hits to go number 1 but would love both to go top 10, the download era has almost made greatest hits albums irrelevant, but i do hope both do well, platinum is very possible for both especially Keane.

Realistically The Killers will peak higher and sell more, but I wish it was the other way around. Higher Than The Sun is so much better than Shot At The Night,

which might be my least favourite Killers single to date. :(
