Hello Rock fans,

We (the moderators of this fine forum, and I) thought we'd try a new competition on Buzzjack. In many ways this competition will be like Unknown Pleasures in the Indie, Alternative and Specialist Forum. You'll get to hear new music from bands you've never heard of and get the chance to spread the joyous sounds that you just know the rest of us rock fans will love - if only we'd listen to them in a captive audience type situation.

The main difference is the type of music that is focused upon. Nuggets will feature guitar based music only. Be it acoustic, experimental, any of the multifarious metal sub-genres, or some undiscovered world music. As long as its main instrument is guitar and as long as they've never had a hit in the UK then they're in. There will be no restriction on gender of vocalist or length of track.

If you're interested in participating then make it known in this thread.

If we can get ten to fifteen people interested then we can start the first round in the next few weeks.

Can I get a "yay"?

I can try and find some good entries ^_^ So I guess it is a yay!
Okay I can definitely be in for this. What little rock music there is in the other competitions I normally enjoy and I have plenty of my own to unleash.

Is this going to be another competition of the BJSC/UP kind of format? If so I'm kinda interested. Although it might be a bit more difficult to find songs for this.
I definitely have a few songs that would fit in here well and wouldn't go down well in the likes of BJSC/UP, so yeah, I'd be up for this! (initially at least)
I'm so out of touch with guitar based stuff, I'd like to play along but have no ideas at all what I could send.
It's a yay from me. I think I have the perfect song for this!

Wohooo! Time to start searching.

I'll probably put up a confirmation thread on Monday week and then close it a week later.
