Yes my peeps, this is forthcoming, like, in the next few days. I'm normally shit at this kind of thing, but I made the effort for our goddess.
I'll be counting down my 40 favourite
singles from or featuring Kylie, if you weren't totally aware.

What will win? Will it be PWL, Decon or Parlo? What gifs will I use?

So get yourself nice and comfy and cozy

and hold on for this to KICK OFF.

YAY! :cheer: You have quite an unusual taste in Kylie songs (in a very good way though) so it will be interesting to see the countdown unfold! :D I reckon it will be a win for the Decon era.

40 | Tears On My Pillow

39 | Shocked

38 | Where Is The Feeling?

Kicking off the countdown is a former #1 for Mini and a track from Enjoy Yourself. Probably her least known #1 and the least popular one

but I can't help but love it. Shocked is next, from 3rd album Rhythm Of Love, which got a radical change from its original album version before it was

released as a single. Last in this bunch is Where Is The Feeling? which was the final single from 1994 album Kylie Minogue. Like Shocked, this got a very different

single mix compared to its album version. It was re-recorded into a rather sexual mainly spoken song, not as good as the album version, which in itself is not as good as

the acoustic version of the song. The Bish Bosh Mix Edit is also rather spiffy and is a great edit of the album version.

'Shocked' Up there with her best pre-2000. The live performances of the song are always AMAZING. Don't really care for 'Where Is the Feeling?' or 'Tears on My Pillow' though
"Where is my feeling" is actually one of my favourites album track, if only the length of the song is not ridiculously long.

'Tears On My Pillow' receives too much hate I think, it's quite a lovely ballad aside from the repeated and high-pitched "ca-aused by yoooooou"s which annoy me slightly.

'Shocked' is my least favourite single from Rhythm of Love but it's decent enough and an enjoyable listen.

I think there's only one version of 'Where is the Feeling?' that I like - the others are very boring. :(

37 | Higher (Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue & Travie McCoy)
36 | The Locomotion
35 | Word Is Out

OOOH an interesting bunch here oui? Higher was originally written to be on Aphrodite but that never happened although she later recorded verses and Taio released
it himself. The best version is the one with both Kylie and Travie IMO (SHOCK, she works with American rappers, nobody tell that slowdown person)
The song that kicked it all off next, The Locomotion may be very very dated now, but you can't help but love it. So many great version of this, but the Abby Road
version is my fave and the main reason for the song making the top 40 here.
Word Is Out is an underrated CLASSIC. First single from the also criminally underrated Let's Get To It, the video features Davina McCall, but is largely shit.
The song never gets performed on her tours and never really gets mentioned, sadly.

Edited by Regina

I agree that the best version of 'Higher' is the one that features Kylie and Travie. Don't like the one with just Taio and Travie though! :P I can remember there was rumours of an Aphrodite re-release which would feature 'Higher', why did it not happen? :(

'The Locomotion' = best song ever at parties. The version on The Abbey Road Sessions is excellent too.

Not too fussed by 'Word is Out' but it didn't deserve to be Kylie's first to miss the Top 10.

Word Is Out much too low.

Just so you know, if the song from Greatest Hits is Celebration I will ban you, immediately.

34 | Spinning Around

33 | Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)

32 | Skirt

Spinning Around was the song that finally brought Kylie back from the limbo of flopism to the top of the charts once again. I do like this one, but not as much as most

people seem to. I once had a geography teacher who I had a massive crush on and this was her fave Kylie song. Much better when performed live too.

Put Your Hands Up was the final single from Aphrodite, although never promoted or sent to radio, or given a video. Some lush remixes (such as above) were released

and a rather lovely b-side came with them. Not the best off the album, but still a great track, I don't think she did it when I went to see her live though sadly.

Skirt is the newest Kylie single, a promo one at that. So low because its only a few months old and it doesn't quite stack up against the songs above it quite yet.

Very slutty, pretty different sound for Kylie, a sign of good things to come from Album 12 methinks.

The video is probably better than the song for 'Spinning Around', even if the song is very good and a worthy #1.

I think that remix of 'Put Your Hands Up' is better than the original. It was only a "treat for the fans" so it's quite 'impressive' that it made #93.

It took me a while to get into 'Skirt' but when it clicked, I could listen to it on repeat and not be bored with it. Made me quite excited for the album.

31 | In Your Eyes
30 | Chocolate
29 | Wow

In Your Eyes pops in at 31, a single from the good but oh so overrated Fever era. Better than some of the other songs, but not as good as others. Great when done
on her tours though, I missed it on Les Folies.
Chocolate is a sensual beast of a song. As a diabetic, I dance with death everytime I listen to it. A real underrated Parlo gem from an underrated album. REALLY love the original version with the rap by Ludacris. Proof that Kylie + Rapper is not an alien concept and actuall can work. Video is a true masterpiece too.
Wow was the second single from X and was once my favourite Kylie song, how times change. Worn slightly on me, but still like it. The remix version used on Les Folies gave this a
much needed boost in my love. One of the best songs from that tour.

*Close my eyes and wait for Regina to slay me*

But I still have to say it, the video for Chocolate is hideous except the bits Kylie did the ballet routine.
