'Your Disco Needs You' Definitely among my favourite from Kylie! (and I needn't start about the tour performances :kink:)

'Step Back in Time' is a BEAUTY too

Alex can do his own.

1. No, I will not post any personal charts / countdowns on Buzzjack forum anymore, only continue my retro favourites topic.

2. My favourite Kylie's song : "Tears On My Pillow". "Your Disco Needs You" is on the second place.

'Step Back in Time' was just another good Kylie single for me until she performed it on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert...then it REALLY grew on me!

06 | I Believe In You

The first single I ever bought folks, yes indeed. It was in Tesco in Inverness in the winter of OH FOUR. A wonderful time. The first item of many in my Kylie collection.
What can be said about IBIY? Well it's totally euphoric, a true gem of a song and there is very little to pick flaws in, infact, I can't think of any.
DAT chorus, Kylie is totally enchanting with those "IIIIIIIIIIIIII believe in youuuuuuuu" bits and it does work well uptempo and downtempo. I adore the
ballad version, as with alot of her PWL songs, it shows off the really good lyrics within the song. The video is really stunning to watch too. Kylie looks beautiful
in it. B-side B.P.M is just as infectious and flawless, keep an eye out for my next countdown to see where it lands.
'I Believe In You' is stunning, especially the ballad version - the X2008 performance is just DIVINE.
Love both step back in time and i believe in you, step back in time i have always liked all these years on and i believe in you still sounds good today. I would have liked a anew album around the i believe in you and giving you up era as i think judging from those a great album could have been made. Still both tracks completed ultimate kylie very well and did a good job in helping sell the album.

05 | The One

Kicking off the top 5 is the final single and major flop The One. Yep, it flopped, but the release was a very shoddy mess so we'll just say it
wasn't a proper single, m'kay?
This could really have been a big hit if it was released earlier in the X era, perhaps as single #1. But we'll never know. This is another one that could be described
as euphoric, especially with that love me love me hook in the chorus. The Freemasons mix is sublime as is the acoustic version Kylie did once or twice on the
X tour and the acoustic-leading-into-remix-version is also divine.
Cheap ass video though, still, she looked good in it.
'The One' as single #1 in place of '2 Hearts' would have been v good - at least more representative of the album, anyway.
Yeah, it's a killer track with huge hit potential. Such a shame they screwed it up. I think it'd have made a great first single from X in place of '2 Hearts'.

04 | 2 Hearts

OH YES FOLKS. Possibly the most Marmite of all Kylie's singles and one that manged to divide her fans upon release.
Her big comeback after kicking cancer's ass and it is totally different to what people expect from a Kylie song and that is why I love it.
I could happily have a whole album of similar sounding songs tbh.
More Glam Rock than dance pop, this is such a fab song, but maybe not a good single choice. I admire Kylie for releasing it, but perhaps she coulda released
something a bit safer to secure a bigger OOMPH to her comeback?
The video is just as glammy rocky as the song and Kylie rocks that curly blonde wig. Her band look lush too and that catsuit if woof!
I must say that my top 4 are all so close to eachother and it was damn near impossible to order them, they all swap around so often.

Ew.

Possibly among the worst songs she has recorded (not that there are many).

I can understand why people don't think '2 Hearts' was the correct choice of lead single for X but how so many people can HATE it... :drama:

I love '2 Hearts', the glam rock sound, the breathy Alison Goldfrapp-esque vocals, DAT VIDEO. I'm very happy it was a single, although 'The One' would have been a better choice of lead single (at least then it would have a proper release!!) as I agree that it sums the album up a lot better. It's my favourite from X too.

'I Believe in You' is fab too, a great return to form following Body Language and the video is among her, if not the, best.

03 | All The Lovers

Dance, it's all I wanna do so wont you dance?

A simple sentence, delivered simply, who'd have known that these words would lead to the most euphoric song of all time?

First single from Aphrodite and it proved to be Kylie's biggest hit since CGYOOMH, it slayed in all the charts everywhere and ended so many other basic bitches careers.

What is there to love in this song? Everything, production that is so crisp and perfect, a lead-in to the chorus that is undeniably infectious and addictive and the most delightful

chorus ever. Kylie sounds gorgeous on this, especially right before THAT MIDDLE 8. Seriously, it's so good it makes me cry.

And of course, the video is amaze, I mean only Kylie could be the top of a near naked mountain ORGY and make it classy. Also, the random horse and elephant balloon,

AMAZING.

SOOOOO, who is left? Who will win? Find out tomorrow, when I find more gifs of Ryan Reynolds.

SOOOOO, who is left? Who will win? Find out tomorrow, when I find more gifs of Ryan Reynolds.

This is obviously more anticipated than the actually results.

I can remember hearing the little instrumental breakdown that appears just before the final chorus of 'All the Lovers' on a teaser Parlophone released on their YouTube and being so excited to hear the full version! There's no denying that this is a classic from Kylie's discography; even today it sounds so fresh. All her live performances of it seem to be perfect, as is the re-recorded version for The Abbey Road Sessions.

Proof that Kylie can have a hit in the download era too.

01 | Timebomb

And there we have it, my top 2 singles by Kylie Minogue O.B.E.

I used to be terrified by CIM, the first time I heard it (in radio edit form) was on a dark winter night in the car on the way to Inverness. The dramatic string intro really

scared me and Kylie's somewhat haunting vocals dded to the fear. I was only ever aware of light hearted dance pop Kylie, so this was a shock. HOWEVER, this grew very fast

on me, there is something very enchanted about this song, it's not your average Kylie song, but on the other hand, it is  One of my favourite Kylie vocals to date in studio form,

stunningly sung on the record and also live. The For You, For Me version is my all time favourite live performance by anyone ever. There are alot of cover versions around, none of which come close to Kylie, although Nerina Pallot's version comes close. Amaze video too, very colourful.

Timebomb was a single to celebrate K25, 25 years of Kylie music goodness and it was a shambles in terms of release. A step forward in terms of sound, it soared up itunes but with no real radio love or promotion, it sank again and criminally got a low peak. BITTER. Now, it's only a year old so some people might question why it's #1 here. All I can say is that I became hooked on this in a way I never have with a song before. Within a week I had racked up over 100 plays of it and it never got old for me. Everthing about this song is perfect. The video features hot pants! Denim ones though, not gold lame.
