Posted November 12, 201311 yr ROBS SMASH HIT WEEKLY TOP 40 In an extremely tight battle this week it is mainly between 5 of the World's biggest Female solo artists. Amongst them includes a veteran who's now surpassed 25 years in the industry since she won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1988. Celine comes storming into my chart with the Sia written single "Loved Me Back to Life" this track just falls short of debuting straight in at no.1 by reaching #2. The woman responsible for this blockage is Lady GaGa who for me has been a bit disappointing this era with tracks that don't really live up to her best but "Do What You Want" is by far the most instant single from ARTPOP and after 4 weeks in the chart finally claims my no.1 spot jumping from last weeks no.4. Katy climbs 4 places to a new peak of #3 with "Unconditionally", if anyone saw her performance at the EMA's then they know it was fantastic. The song is wonderful besides that and is turning out to become a big hit so maybe GaGa's 1 week reign at the top is perhaps a short one. Only time will tell.. Slipping one place to #4 is the fabulous Kelly with her Christmas track "Underneath the Tree" which surely will be in for a shot of the #1 come December and the 2nd highest new entry comes from Britney with her 2nd leaked track "Perfume", the verses to this are just AMAZING. Slipping to no.5 is last weeks number 1 from James Blunt with "Bonfire Heart". Elsewhere in the chart we have another Britney song this time with "Passengers" which enters at no.9. Following the release of their HITS albums The Killers are out and about in full force with new tracks putting up a nice showing, Shot At the Night jumps 20 places to #17 whilst the Incredible "Just Another Girl" enters at #15. Olly Murs lands at #20 with new track "Hand on Heart", the video you'll find rather similar to that of Robbie's video for Angels :P 2 more GaGa tracks enter this week, the first being "Dope" at 23 & the other, "Gypsy" in at no.24. "Gorilla" the 4th single release by Bruno Mars enters at #30 following a great performance at the EMA'S and no.40 sees the return of Mariah Carey with "The Art of Letting Go". It's a wonderful song, true she has a lot of better ones, especially the ones which show off her vocals much more, but it's a very strong single nonetheless. :wub: I found Lady Gaga's album quite a chore to listen though to be honest. :( The tracks in your chart though are among the better ones. Mind you, 'Dope' could have been much better - it reminds me of 'Speechless' and I think it would be much better if it sounded bigger like that. Haven't heard Mariah's new one but I thought 'Triumphant', '#Beautiful' and 'Almost Home' (especially the latter :wub:) were fab!

Eek sorry this is such a late reply especially since my new chart is up but I totally forgot to reply :( Lady GaGa's album is a bit disappointing indeed, there is like 5/6 decent tracks but she's unfortunately becoming quite boring :( Check it out, listen to some of her older stuff too.
