November 16, 201311 yr I like this a lot for a Katy ballad :o Really interesting production and it's good to hear her on something a bit more stripped back. Not quite '5AM' but it is so baffling how everything after 'What Love Is Made Of' has been so superior to it. Will never know how that got to be single #1.
November 16, 201311 yr This track is absolutely amazing. I feel like I don't have the words to describe how much I love it, the lyrics are so good! I have LOVED some of her back catalogue but I think this could be her best yet. Just amazing. This needs to be absolutely massive. I do prefer this version to the one linked in the first post though, but both are amazing. NcK2eAVPJM8 Out of the singles, I'd have to rank them in this order: Crying For No Reason Broken Record (Just amazing, so catchy and the video is dark) Perfect Stranger (Really love the lyrics and the production!) (Aaliyah) [Great track, putting a modern spin on 'Jolene'] 5am (Really good, catchy. Solid record) Katy On A Mission (So refreshing, you can listen to it again and again) Witches' Brew (Pretty much a perfect pop record) Easy Please Me (Excellent production and beat, lyrics slightly cringeworthy) Lights On (I don't mind it but I find it a little too repetitive) What Love Is Made Of (A bit underwhelming but alright)

Witches' Brew bottom? Be gone with you! <_<
November 16, 201311 yr Really like the 'complete' ballad version, but there's just something about the first one posted that just has this 'Katy B' thing to it.
November 16, 201311 yr This is amazing  Finally made me buy tickets to her show next year, I just have to see her.
November 17, 201311 yr 01 Katy On A Mission (11/10) 02 Aaliyah (10/10) 03 5am (10/10) 04 Lights On (10/10) 05 Witches' Brew (10/10) 06 Broken Record (9/10) 07 Easy Please Me (9/10) 08 What Love Is Made Of (9/10) 09 Perfect Stranger (8/10) I can see Crying for No Reason appearing ~6 but it's too early to tell! EDIT: About the actual song, it's great to hear something a bit different from her and I think it works really well  Edited November 17, 201311 yr by Rabbit Heart
November 18, 201311 yr Author Absolute stunner AGAIN. Up there as my most anticipated album of 2014 now. basically. this woman has been absolutely flawless bar 'what love is made of' which EVEN THEN is like a 7.5/10 moment... strong lowlight.
November 18, 201311 yr listened to What Love Is Made Of last night and it's not even a bad as I remember! she is just mental.
November 18, 201311 yr I was a bit wary of the hype surrounding this, but it's pretty beautiful. She just keeps DELIVERING, loved both her previous singles this era to pieces and it looks like this one is going the same way. Definitely need the album after this.
November 18, 201311 yr I am AGOG at how good this is. It encapsulates everything a ballad should be with some really interesting production too. This would be a huge global #01 if someone like Katy Perry sang it. But then it wouldn't have those emotional nuances and subtly that Katy B brings to her music continually.
November 18, 201311 yr it's not very often you listen to a song and on first listen it totally takes you over and have such a strong emotional response to it. 12.5/10.
November 19, 201311 yr Just heard Greg James play this and just... WOW. She's releasing it Jan so I'm confident it'll be as big as 5AM if not bigger. If radio really picks it up, could it challenge for #1?
November 19, 201311 yr I have a feeling it'll go Top 10 just from Radio 1 playlisting it to be honest.
November 19, 201311 yr 01 Katy On A Mission - 11/10 02 Perfect Stranger - 10/10 03 Broken Record - 9/10 04 Aaliyah - 8/10 05 Witches' Brew - 8/10 06 Crying For No Reason - 8/10 07 5am - 8/10 08 What Love Is Made Of - 7/10 09 Easy Please Me - 7/10 10 Lights On - 5/10 A rather fabulous discography actually. 'Crying For No Reason' is lovely, I would have loved a bit more Katy B edge into it though which could have made it a 9 or 10. I think it will grow even more though. 'Lights On' is the only song that just hasn't been up to it for me - shame it's her best performing single! Edited November 19, 201311 yr by Davidson
