I think Miley struggles to perform Adore You live. She's one of the few pop stars who don't mime etc!

I love her acoustic version from MTV... mind you, we'll never know if it was edited in post-production or not.

The main problem with this song to me is the fact that the first verse is just NOT A VERSE. It's a really pretty song and it has a wonderful chorus but you just cannot attract people hearing a song for the first time when the first minute or so is complete filler. They should have re-done the verses for radio.

As an album opener it works but I have to agree, I heard it on the radio the other day and it feels like the first verse drags for ages with all the "oh" and "hey" ad-libs before getting going with the chorus, the song is also too long as a whole for radio, nevermind the first verse.

But with the Cedric Remix this will obv change if radio go on board with it.

^ It seems so. Very little impact on iTunes either in the UK or the US :(

'Adore You' did decently worldwide - not anything massive but it sold over 1 million in the USA which is good considering it's rather poor airplay. I think they should end the album campaign with FU / Drive / Do My Thang.
To be honest I think they should end it now. 'Adore You' has done somewhat poorly but it's not been a disaster for her and this era is still seen as a huge success. If they push a 4th single and it does much worse however, I'm not sure how good it'll look.

I honestly think that FU would be a smash - I think her only problem is Radio in the US - I can't believe how poorly 'Adore You' did on airplay despite being like #13 on iTunes. Demi 'Neon Lights' has performed worse on iTunes in comparison to 'Adore You' yet that's getting 1m+.

Miley never really promoted 'Adore You' which hindered her chances of getting a smash from it.

I'm surprised that 'Adore You' never returned to the UK Top 100. She's been top 80 for the majority of the week as well as the remix version being top 200 for half of the week.

This is so underrated. Its nowhere near the standard of Wrecking Ball but I think it was the perfect 3rd single, it needs to be bigger :(
