Posted November 17, 201311 yr Merry Christmas Baby rose from 32-22 this week & Christmas entered the top 100 for the 3 rd year in a row at 58 rising to 37 this week. Where will they peak this year though? Incidentally both peaked at no2 last year! Edited November 18, 201311 yr by steve201
November 18, 201311 yr I think both could go top 10 again, but seeing that Buble has sold about 3 times the amount of Rods Christmas album, Rod Stewart will probably peak higher this year. I have no doubt Itv will repeat both their Christmas shows.
November 18, 201311 yr This has been a great year for Rod Stewart and I'm sure it will continue with 'Merry Christmas, Baby' probably re-entering the top 5. Bublé might make the top 10 again as well. It looks like André Rieu's 'December Lights' album could even re-peak - climbed to #73 this week after only peaking at #53 on its original release last year.
November 18, 201311 yr Wonder if Rod Stewart and Michael Buble's albums peak better this year than the latest Christmas albums from Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson? :P
November 18, 201311 yr How many Christmas albums will we have in the Christmas album top ten I wonder, a possibilty of 6 maybe?
November 19, 201311 yr Author I dont think all the new releases will do that well, maybe Leona with an XF performance and the 2 mentioned?!
November 19, 201311 yr I dont think all the new releases will do that well, maybe Leona with an XF performance and the 2 mentioned?! Richard and Adam, Susan Boyle and Kelly Clarkson are 3 new releases that could do well
November 19, 201311 yr Author Yeh, true. I forgot about Susan Boyle she should be top 10 round xmas though her sales will be well off what she used to do. And the Richard & Adam one will do ok. Their single was fav for the no1 single at one stage, doubt it though with the album being out first as well!
