26. Frankmusik - Chasing Shadows - 8-6-7-8-12-22-27-31-24-28-28-35-42-49 [14 weeks]
25. James Arthur - Roses (feat. Emeli Sandé) - 2-2-3-5-9-11-19 [7 weeks]

Frankmusik's first single from 2013 US album 'Between', 'Chasing Shadows' just misses out on a spot in the top 25, but it's an absolutely INCREDIBLE song. The verses, the chorus, the video, Frankmusik himself. Oh and now's the time to say I am ecstatic that he favourited my tweet to him yesterday about his new single 'Ephemeric Summer' *.* The chorus on this however comes from absolutely nowhere and serves as his second entry here with another yet to come (what is it though?!). James Arthur is also here with another entry, and this time it's his stunning collaboration with Queen Emeli Sandé, 'Roses'. It's great that he's been working with her on the début album, and I hope this isn't the last of collaborations between the pair of them because they give POWER when they do work together.

24. James Arthur - Impossible - 2-2-2-2-2-3-5-8-14-24-25-34 [12 weeks]
23. Emeli Sandé - Call Me What You Like - 1-3-3-11-15-24-11-21-31-35-40-48-47-47-49-46-44-42-47-45-40-44-48-47-48-49 [26 weeks]

Next up is James Arthur with his incredible winner's single from The X Factor 2012; a cover of Shontelle's 'Impossible'. It's so much better than the original, the best X Factor winner's single by a mile and so very inventive. Right from the off he was showing us the style that he would be working with and the direction he would be going on, and it ultimately paid off when he released the second single from 'James Arthur', 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You'. Just ahead of him is his collaborating partner Queen Emeli Sandé, this time with a beautiful song titled 'Call Me What You Like'. This leaked earlier in the year, but has since been removed from all websites on the internet not to be seen again. Lucky I downloaded it while it was still there, even if it has a STUPID watermark on it, and is only half of the song. The full song is a beauty, and definitely one of her best!

22. Union J - Last Goodbye - 22-12-10-8-4-4-7 [7 weeks]
21. The Saturdays - Disco Love - 5-7-8-13-16-17-23-13-11-19-24-29-35-41-48 [15 weeks]

Up next is an album track from Union J's self-titled début album, 'Last Goodbye'. It's easily their favourite song of mine, although they have so many good ones! 'Loving You Is Easy' has grown on me a lot lately and is probably one of their best now, as well as 'Carry You', 'Beautiful Life' and 'Amaze Me'. This song however is so anthemic and just sounds amazing. The chorus is fabulous too, and it's nice that JJ actually has something to sing. It NEEDS to be a single at some point if they continue the campaign after 'Loving You Is Easy'. Just edging ahead are The Saturdays with 'Disco Love', a single from their fifth album 'Living For the Weekend'. This is definitely the second best on there, as well as one of their best of all time (just behind 'Leave A Light On'). This is one you just want to dance to and can listen to CONSTANTLY without getting bored of it at all! Such a funky video too - Frankie! <3

Disco Love is amazing, nowhere near being their best but still fantastic. And if it's behind LALO, why is it ahead in your Y/E? x

Last Goodbye is so so so forgettable.

So finishing at the very latter end of the top 20 and kicking us off well and truly with the VERY best songs of 2013 is Madison Beer with her AMAZING début single 'Melodies'. She's definitely an artist to watch next year, and the single NEEDS to smash. But now I just can't wait for the follow-up, which I believe will be hard for her to do if she wants to top this. The video is amazing, especially seeing as it features none other than Justin Bieber who is now cited for discovering her and setting her career up for her under the same management. And having a street party after you've discovered a pair of Beats sent to you by Justin and hearing melodies in your head is just... fabulous!

Next up at #19 with his highest entry here is X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur. His second single after the extremely successful 'Impossible' led us into the release of his self-titled début album, and it is 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You'. An incredible song that is SO well structured and just suits him perfectly. Definitely demonstrates his ability as an artist and as a singer. The video is lovely as well, great to see him having a bit of fun but also showing some ~swag~. Looking forward to hearing more of the same from him (if it comes on the second album; although there are already some similar and fantastic songs on this album like second single 'Recovery' which should do fantastically!)

18. Union J - Beautiful Life - 3-3-2-3-4-6-10-14-19-18-23-27-27-38 [14 weeks]

So at #18 are my beautiful boys Union J with the second single from their self-titled début album, 'Beautiful Life'. I don't know why this seems to get a lot of stick for being "forgettable" and "far from their best", etc. It's a fabulous song and it really is a beautiful ballad! Definitely does them justice, and it didn't deserve to do as weakly as it did officially. The video is so meaningful and George looks an absolute GEM in it. I also recognise the girl who's inside one of the tin things from somewhere, I'm inclined to say River City, but would she really be offered a part in such a wonderful music video (how rude!)? Anyway, yes, definitely one of the strongest on their album, but not quite as strong as lead single 'Carry You'.

'Beautiful Life' took it's time to grow on me and kinda died fast for me oops.

BUT a fair few i'm liking in the top 20 actually (this is turning out better than i expected http://imageshack.us/a/img41/8978/pe88.gif)

Hoping The Vamps/Austin do the business but it'll probably be J Lo or someone :/

(completely unrelated but i have the new Elyar Fox song on REPEAT!)

17. Frankmusik - Confusion Girl - 4-3-2-4-14-21-25-31-38 [9 weeks]

Up next is the adorable Frankmusik who is possibly now one of my favourite artists around and this is 'Confusion Girl'. I'm so glad I listened to this song earlier in the year and discovered him, because a) this is fantastic and b) so is the rest of his material. Just such a fantastic pop / dance song, and it deserves massive amounts of credit! I know it's an old one, but GOSH. Never heard something like it, and he's totally not the type of artist I expected to see myself LOVING. And in recent news regarding the man himself (apart from him being made aware of my existence by favouriting my tweet x) he has just released his new single 'Ephemeral Summer' so CHECK IT OUT. #shamelessplug

LIU better win this shit.

16. Rudimental - Free (feat. Emeli Sandé) - 2-12-19-29-38-49-X-3-7-11-19-28-26-34-45 [14 non-consecutive weeks]

Just missing out on a spot in the top 15 is the sensational collaboration from Rudimental and Emeli Sandé, 'Free'. This is the sixth single from Rudimental's début album 'Home', and is one of two collaborations with Queen Sandé herself (the other being 'More Than Anything' (lower down in the EOY)). The video for this sums up just how much of a touching song it is, and how it talks about a journey, and somebody just being (as the title suggests)... free. Emeli sounds so soulful on this song, and it's a different type of song for Rudimental. It's a shame it didn't perform excellently officially, but ah well. It's a post-release single and wasn't exactly going to be #1 (even if it SHOULD have been x). And on a final note, the version of the song with Nas is terrible (even if Emeli still sounds heavenly on it). He completely ruins it IMO.
