Lewis's top 5 artists of 2013

5. The Arctic Monkeys

2013 charting songs:

1 Do I Wanna Know

6 Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High

Best Song Of 2013

COMMENTARY: Starting off my countdown at 5 is The Arctic Monkeys. Having only liked one of their previous songs I was very surprised to find myself loving Do I Wanna Know after I had heard it a few times. Why'd You Only Call Me When Your High didn't chart as high in my chart but I love it (nearly) the same.

4. Watsky

2013 charting songs:

1 IDGAF

2 Give A Hater A Hug (ft Wax)

2 Kick Monday (In The Nutsack) (ft Mody & Wax)

3 Moral Of The Story

4 Kill A Hipster (ft Chinaka Hodge)

5 Ugly Faces

19 Rich Girl

Best Song Of 2013

COMMENTARY: At 4 is Watsky. He is a rapper who got famous on YouTube for his (later deleted) video "White Kid Raps Fast". He decided to delete this video because he didn't want people to think of him as a one trick pony. After appearing on a YouTube channel I watch called "SourceFed" I decided to go back and listen to his other music. I really enjoyed it and downloaded all the free mixtapes he puts on his websites. My favourite song of his this year "IDGAF" was originally put on YouTube by him last year.

3. Eminem

2013 charting songs:

1 Survival

1 Rap God

2 The Monster (ft Rihanna)

3 Berzerk

Best Song Of 2013

COMMENTARY:Eminem has landed at 3 in my top 5 artists of the year. Even thought he has charted more times than the two above him he can only land here. Growing up I have always been a massive fan on Eminem and was excited to hear he was to release an album this year. But when I heard Berzerk for the first time I didn't like it and only started to enjoy a while after release. But when I heard the rest on his album I knew he was back to his best.

2. Iggy Azalea

2013 charting songs:

1 Change Your Life (ft T.I.)

1 Bounce

5 Work

Best Song Of 2013

COMMENTARY:Just missing out on the top spot is Iggy Azalea. Before this year I had never heard of her and when I first heard Work I didn't like it. After time I started to love it and from then on in her just kept getting better and enter with each release.

1. Macklemore And Ryan Lewis

2013 charting songs:

1 Can't Hold Us (ft Ray Dalton)

3 Same Love (ft Mary Lambert)

7 Thrift Shop (ft Wanz)

Note: Thrift Shop would have been number one in my chart if I had started it earlier.

Best Song Of 2013

COMMENTARY:And my winners of 2013 are Macklemore And Ryan Lewis. All 3 of their songs have been right up there with my favourites of the year. I loved Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us so much and were obsessed with them both straight away.

Personal Chart Run: Did Not Chart

U.K. Peak: 12

Commentary: Starting the top 100 is Imagine Dragons with Radioactive. This was extremely unlucky not to enter my chart as I enjoyed it a lot. One of two Imagine Dragons in my chart and one of two songs called Radioactive
