Alexandra will hit the States with her US debut single Shine or No More You

 

She has performed No More You acoustic already and is releasing a snippet of each song this week so the fans can say what they want to say

Shine is a Midtempo/Ballad and No More You is a ballad, both are solo

 

The video for either song will be shot in January

To be fair, the only way is up after New Rules (and half of Heartbreak On Hold).

Obviously in LQ but I think 'No More You' is the best choice for single out of the two. 'Shine' sounds too generic from the snippet while NMY has a fantastic vocal. Could possibly work on AC radio in America.

 

I wouldn't say either are smashes though.

No More You sounds like something I could really get behind. Shine sounds crap.

No More You sounds like a smash hope that's the First Single out of the two.

"Shine" is rather bland? Sounds like filler to me. "No More You" sounds promising though. Although I don't see it being a big hit anytime soon.

Nearly the entirety of 'No More You' has leaked today, fantastic vocals from Alexandra and I think it would've made a good single or at least a fantastic album track.

Glad that it seems Simon is still a fan of Alexandra and I'm so pleased that we keep getting to see her on The X Factor this year! I wonder if she could have a collaboration with Tamera Foster on Tamera's upcoming album considering they were together last night?

I love 'No More You', what incredible vocals! :wub:

Vocals are great on "No More You" but the production isn't good and brings the whole song down for me. Esepcially as the flow of the song seems rather clunky. Would have made a great album track, but not single-worthy imo.

Those vocals are actually gorgeous. Wasn't sure of the song at the start and agree it needs better production behind it but it actually has a lot of potential and is quite the grower. Not the complete mess I was expecting.

To be honest neither songs are that good, she's better off scraping the pair of them and bring something else out, but to be honest she's left it too long now and after the last era flopped, don't think this comeback will do any wonders, she hit her peak with her first album and will never hit those heights again, if she brings out either of these songs as her comeback
