Favourite Music Video

01. Iggy Azalea - Bounce 36 pts

02. Justin Timberlake - Mirrors 34 pts

03. Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith - La La La 28 pts

Justin was leading this for a while, but Iggy managed to claw it back with what happens to be my favourite music video of the year. The Bollywood inspired video ticks all the boxes; colourful, energetic, full of culture and so fun. Iggy looks stunning as she dons her best sari, even managing to work it on top a hefty elephant. The song tired on me eventually but it'll always have a place in my heart for this complete stomper of a video even if it didn't need all those camera tricks which slightly detract from the true glory of Iggy India. Elsewhere in the rankings from Iggy, 'Work' just missed out on a bronze award and 'Change Your Life' came dead last; she won't be complaining though because her visual masterpiece has done the Bizness. As mentioned, Justin put up a very good fight with his glorious video experience which looked to take the award around the half-way point and Naughty Boy don't leave the night empty handed (may have been required to give him something because Calum is in the building).

Taking a short interval before the big awards later on tonight. Guest performers are Emeli Sandé and Naughty Boy featuring Emeli Sandé ^_^ Enjoy~

Bounce is a brilliant video though. Her weakest song (still VERY strong though) getting the best video, and her best song (Work) getting the least good video. (IMO anyway)

...and we're back :D

I'll be presenting the results in FULL now so nothing is safe. Next up is the Favourite Male Artist. The hunks:

Eminem

Kanye West

Kendrick Lamar

Justin Timberlake

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

Miguel

Tinie Tempah

02. ??? 29 pts

03. ??? 27 pts

04. Eminem 24 pts

05. Kendrick Lamar 13 pts

05. Miguel 13 pts

07. Tinie Tempah 11 pts

MASSIVE point total for your leading man but just who is it? On the opposite side Tinie seems to really be floundering in all of his categories but he is competing with the big international hitters here so it was always going to be tough. Haus faves Miguel and Kendrick come joint 5th, while Eminem loses out to Kanye for the first (and only?) time tonight just missing out on the top 3...

(I won't drag this out for long promise)

Better not loose in Achievement Award :hitler:

And this award will be presented by Calum Sandé ^_^ "winner = JT".

Shimmying past the competition in style is the undoubted King of 2013. One of the most anticipated returns to music and he did not disapoint (until releasing the second part of his Complete Experience). It seemed he had virtually NO haters in the voting as he beat out controversialkanye and already winners of the night Macklemore/Lewis. Worthy winner I SUPPOSE.

Next up is the diva battle to end all diva battles, Favourite Female Artist. I can NOT call it :o

Ciara

Iggy Azalea

Janelle Monáe

Laura Mvula

Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj

Rihanna

03. ??? 26 pts

04. Ciara 24 pts

05. Nicki Minaj 20 pts

06. Mariah Carey 12 pts

07. Laura Mvula 9 pts

Newcomer Mvula crashes out with one of the lowest scores of the night BUT in all fairness she was up against hefty BJ loving behomoths. Mariah Carey quite shockingly(?) only manages 12 points and Nicki Minaj who is busy readying her RETURN for 2014 sneaks into the top 5. The casualty here is Ciara who just misses out on bronze and up the top is it an established giant, a sparkly newcomer or a beautiful q.u.e.e.n. that's snatched it?

Shock? Well she has dominated the year as far as Buzzjack females go and somehow manages to topple even Rihanna here. With three solid singles, countless days praying she would just make the top 10 one day, gifs aplenty and a whole lot of looning later, Iggy Azalea is your Queen of 2013. Rihanna gets a comfortable second placing off the tailend of her Unapologetic album with Stay, Pour It Up and whatever else she released all contributing. Also very wonderful to see Janelle sneak into the top 3 off the back of her better-than-debut second album, The Electric Lady; makes up for Primetime not even getting a look in for the Collaboration award :/

What were you singing loudest this year? Time to crown your Song of the Year:

Drake ft. Majid Jordan - Hold On We're Going Home

Fuse ODG - Antenna

Iggy Azalea - Work

Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was

Justin Timberlake - Mirrors

Kanye West - Black Skinhead

Little Mix - Move

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert - Same Love

Miguel - Adorn

Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz - Trampoline

YESSSS IGGY!

Now do it again and win with WORK please. If not, I'll take Fuse.

09. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert - Same Love 6 pts

09. Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz - Trampoline 6 pts

Tinie last again (but not alone !). Unfortunately the zany, pumping Black Skinhead doesn't quite live up to the hype for you guys, even being beaten by FhuSE ODG. Quite shocked at Drake "only" getting to #6 with one of the defining urban songs of the year and it seemed to get universal love across the site. Miguel manages a top 5 position as it continues to garner a dominance over us ALL and Jessie Ware narrowly misses out on the top 3 with the biggest "how did it flop" hit of the year.

Top 3 battle: Work, Mirrors, Move.

And there he is again! One of the closest races just because of the larger selection to choose from, the order flitted around substantially, but it was always JT's for the taking. 'Mirrors' has been one of the defining songs of the year pretty much everywhere and it seems you agree. Wondrous vocals, a stunning melody and a beautiful concept. Again, the man who receives no hate taking it from two BJ faves. Iggy Azalea amasses a very good total with 'Work' her best single to date but it falls just short of making it all the way. A song that defined my final year at university and so the memories will always be fond. And big comeback hit from Little Mix with the ever-popular 'Move', as they continue to impress tonight while score another top 3 position. They seem to be going from strength to strength, so long may that ascent continue.

Happy with that? Almost done. Album of the Year:

AlunaGeorge - Body Music

Ciara - Ciara

Disclosure - Settle

Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady

Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience

Kanye West - Yeezus

Little Mix - Salute

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - The Heist
