PENTATONIX

I think they are the best 'Pop' vocal Group that I've ever seen.

Here is a brief Biog:,

Pentatonix is an American acapella group of five vocalists, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado,

Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola, originating from Arlington, Texas. The group

won the 2011 series of 'The Sing Off', in the USA.

Mitch, (short black hair), & Scott, (tall blond guy), are openly Gay.

THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY - PENTATONIX

Originally a 1941 Song, ('The Carol Of The Drum'), made famous as 'The Little Drummer Boy',

by The Harry Simeone Chorale, in 1958. I thought that no-one to better the 1958 version - this

Group have. It is currently a big USA Hit. But, Pentatonix are not known in the UK.

It has almost 20.5 Million views in just 3 Weeks. The harmonies in it just get more & more

complex.....They rise to new heights after the 'Then he smiled at me...' line. So up-lifting.

CAROL OF THE BELLS - PENTATONIX

This is based on a 1916 Ukrainian Song. It was introduced to 'The West' as 'Carol Of The Bells'

in the 1940's.

Pentatonix use such unbelievable harmonies in it, that many think that they are using electronic

trickery. But they aren't - it is all their vocals. It comes from hours & hours of practice. It is like

their voices are 3 Dimensional in this.

THE EVOLUTION OF MUSIC - PENTATONIX

In which they start off 100's of Years ago, in a Medley that goes through the 1920's,

right up until now. And I found myself wanting them to perform all of many of the

Hits - like 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', for example. They make it all look so effortless.

AND THEIR VERSIONS OF 2 GLOBAL HITS - RECENT UK No.1's

SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW (The Gotye Feat. Kimbra Hit)

ROYALS (The Lorde Hit)

I'm glad someone made a thread abut them - I LOVE them and I agree they are brilliant - Carol of the Bells gave me goosebumps when I first heard it.

They have released 2 EP's so far, I hope they make an album one day.
