It would look far better to have 'sell out theatre tour' then 'disastrous sales for arena tour'..

They're doing the logical thing (if it's even true).

I personally don't think that the end is near at all.

Their profile is as high as it has ever been with slots on Bake Off & Splash!, the general public actually know who they are now.

I think 'Not Giving Up' will be good for them and even if it is a Greatest Hits next, I think they'll continue after it.

I think you are quite possibly one of the most optimistic on this thread

It does come down to whether or not they want to continue - look at the complications that have come up through the LFTW campaign and look how far stretched it has been because of aforementioned issues. Yes they love their job/one another but I think if it is a GH tour/album, a hiatus AT least (if not a split) looks likely.

I'd imagine they will use all the standard small arenas (Brighton, Bournemouth, Cardiff). Then maybe they could use Birmingham NIA, Liverpool Echo Two. I could see them doing Wembley Arena instead of Hammersmith as well. Whatever we get, I'm glad we're getting something!

They better keep Brighton :o I am glad we are getting something as well despite any disappointments

Looking at venues i'd guess it will be

Bournemouth - International Center (6500)

Liverpool - Echo Arena (11000) [they sold 10k tickets for AFU]

Cardiff - Motorpoint Arena (7500) [they did this for Work, Headlines! and AFU]

Brighton - Brighton Centre (5100) [sold out on Headlines! and AFU tour]

Manchester - O2 Apollo (3500) [two nights is better than the 21000 main arena option!]

Newcastle - Metro Radio Arena (11000) [the venue for the H! tour only holds 2300 and is threatend with closure]

Birmingham - ??? [the LG holds 15643!!! but the H! tour didn't visit there]

Glasgow - SECC (12500) [They managed to shift 92% of the tickets for AFU tour]

London - Wembley Arena (12500) [they sold 89% of tickets for AFU, although my dream would be the O2 but they wont sell it]

I can see the pros of theatre tour - it clearly means they can sell out rather than struggle and face embarrasment of a failing tour/downgrading venues. I think the label must have to invest a lot in a tour as I remember they needed authorisation from the label to book the AFU tour in the H! Tour doc.

However, the AFU tour was in a terrible month to tour (December), where as a September tour would be so much more appealing to fans and the general public.

^ Don't forget Leeds and Sheffield ;) I've noticed a lot of acts have been to the NIA on their theatre tours instead of the LG. Still quite a large venue though. Much better than Wolverhampton.

It's still 12,802 seats for the NIA though, I'm not sure they can manage that. I think around 75% of tickets will ensure it makes profit.

And my bad RE Leeds and Sheff!

Its mad to think the City Hall in Sheffield holds 2,000 and the arena holds 13,000 - such a big jump! And a shame to think they sold 9,000 tickets there for AFU, and 2,000 for H! and they was in the same year

They can probably sell out the SECC

If they wanted a hiatus they would've had it in 2012 when everyone was having children. They obviously love their job which is why they'll be around for longer than GA. Never saw any chemistry between the members of GANanyways

Rather embarrassing to be returning to theatres - especially for a greatest hits! I would much rather they took the gamble and did a gamble and did arena!

Thinking the sane thing, wouldn't they make more money in arenas anyways?

Depends on how expensive the production is. All Fired Up wasn't much different than Headlines except for the stage and the dancers, but you have to keep in mind that there were more seats, higher prices, etc...So in the end, they probably made just as much, if not a bit more.

Considering how cheap the label is, I wouldn't expect much from the production this time. Therefore, it might be better to go with theatres.

I remember a big buzz at my high school when AFU tour tickets were out. cant remember the same for headlines

Apparently on TV guides, it's saying The Sats are on Lorraine on the 4th of April to discuss the single and the tour. I'd imagine they're putting tickets on sale the same week as the single? I think it'll be a mixture of theatres and arenas.

This is tragic, they announce it JUST as I have no money and no one to go with!

Guys, its not like this tours gonna sell out so I really wouldn't worry lol
If they sell standing tickets I probably have nothing to worry about lol.

It's most likely going to be a theatre tour, so it's most likely going to sell out, yes.
